I just spoke with Linda and she is fine. It is still storming there really badly but the tornado did not hit. She said she'll check in later tonight when it stops storming so much. She appreciates all your concern though

Dear Serena and Helenabear,

I am so blessed to have such wonderful people looking out for me. We were out hardware shopping. We usually go to the Menard's at Southport but decided to check out the new Home Depot in Seymour instead. We were very lucky. From the news reports it looks terrible. Only good thing is that there does not seem to have been any loss of life and few serious injuries.

Serena, did you get any damage where you live? I sincerely hope not.

My heartfelt prayers go out to our neighbors to the North and we will be bundling up supplies to take up tomorrow once I find out what is needed and where to take it.

Glad to here everyone was ok. Boy there was alot of damage in the area. I am listening to the news now and I really feel fotunate that no one I know was hurt.

I am afraid that today will be a hard one for our neighbors who had property damage yesterday. Yesterday was a day for thanking God that they did not get hurt or worse but today is the day it will sink in of what they did lose and how in the world to recover.

Those of us who were spared will rally to help in whatever way we can.

Today is the Hope Bike Ride. The whole town bakes cookies for the hundreds who show up to participate. One of the many joys of small town life IMHO. The proceeds go to the Hope Food Bank to provide food etc. to local families in need.
