 Does anyone know what the weather is typically like around the middle of March? I'll be going March 16-21st and I wanna be prepared...we read that it rains (on average) 2 inches or so during that month....

For the last two years we were there in the middle of March, and found the weather OK. In 2002, there was no rain that week, but it wasn't hot either--we wore jeans, t-shirts, and carried light jackets/sweatshirts for the evenings.

In 2003, our first day there was a torrential downpour, flooding all over the highways, etc. But then it was fine from then on, and we wore pretty much the same--jeans, t-shirts, light jackets for the evening. DH did wear shorts one or two days each trip, but DD and I found it not quite warm enough (about 65 or so?).

I quite liked the weather generally--not too hot for walking around, warm enough to be comfortable.

Last year it was nice- not hot not cold- The worst part was the wind- We had terrible wind that shut down some of the outside rides (esp Screamin') and cancled the fireworks one night

Hmmm...hope it's ok when we're there...I was planning on bringing shorts for the kids, maybe I should bring more pants than shorts...

We'll be there at the same time, and were there at that time 2 years ago. I'd definitely plan on more jeans or long pants rather than shorts. 2 years ago, we wore long pants, and a couple of days changed into shorts for the afternoon, but we would have been OK in long pants still. We definitely would have been too cool in shorts in the morning and evening. We also took jackets everyday, and as soon as the sun started going down - which seemed pretty early - before 5:00, we all put our jackets on. We're from Texas and used to warm, muggy weather, so it felt cool and quite comfortable to us, but too cool for shorts most of the time. It might have been different if we were coming from somewhere cold with snow!

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind.

March weather here in So Cal. is hard to predict. Some times it is beautiful and in the 70s sometimes it is gloomy. Generally if it does rain it almost never lasts longer than a day and a half. i think a good rule of thumb is to wear layers. A word of warning it does get quite chilly at night, so have a jacket handy for when the sun goes down.

Just to let you know Carlen - it's supposed to be between 80 and 90 degrees this whole week! Looked at the extended forecast and looks like mid 70's next week. It will be GREAT DL weather for you! (We live about an hour and 20 minutes from DL).
