Does ANYONE know how the new Search works???

OK, I'm not stupid, and I've been here forever.


But this new Search function has got to be the most useless "improvement" ever!!!!

There is a "New Search" thread on the Technical Support Forum. I would suggest you also post your thoughts/observations/issues (which is what that thread's OP asks for) there. Various work-arounds that DIS'ers have found & that accomplish what the Old Search used to do are posted in that thread.

There was a Poll posted sometime within the past month on the CB (since the New Search was instituted), but...I'm having trouble finding it .

If I can not find something under my user PC or page 1-3 I just give up.
Agnes! you can google just the DIS? or does everything known to man come up on the subject?

Take a look at that New Search/Technical Support Forum thread...there's quite a discussion on it about why the Boardtracker system was brought in & DIS'ers opinions/reactions to the change. Apparently Google can be used, but I don't quite understand myself how to delineate the parameters of the Search request (but there are DIS'ers who apparently do).
