Does Anyone Know CPR?

With the Fourth of July safely behind us and most everyone has counted their fingers and toes to be sure there were no fireworks accidents, I think we need to breath a little life into this board. I know Eeyore's Pal attempted to revive the Collector's Board a while back but it seems to have slowed down again.

I can sense a disturbance in the board force, I know there are many people out there lurking but not a lot of posting. So what's up with that? Remember when you first started getting into Disney Collectibles and the excitement you felt? Remember how you wanted to share that excitement with others who had similar interests? Well, those people are still here waiting for someone to start talking.

So how about a quick game to re-introduce each other and find out a little bit about each other. I'll start. My name's AZ JazzyJ but my friends call me on the phone. I am the resident baseball dude who happens to collect stories mostly about pieces of metal with pointy things on the back. Besides collecting pins, I also do an occasional adventure either electronically or at WDW. I am currently searching for WDW Independence Day pins and Artist Choice pins from the Animal Kingdom pin event. I am working on plans for an adventure in WDW in September.

I'll go next. My name is Ashley and I'm too broke to collect too many pins. I'm a BIG DOG fan (owner of a newfoundland and 2 collies) with a multitude of other pets, 2 children, and a husband. I started pin collecting Sept. 2001 (of all the times..). My dad found the DIS and showed it to me and I've been addicted since. Generally I can be found around here, although as quiet as the board has been lately, I've been hanging around the Community board more.

I've been to one of the adventures Jeff & Maureen put on and wish I could be at the next. My husband, though, has other plans for the weekend and I'll have the kids to keep.

Hi! My name is Karin and I am a pinaholic I live in Palm Springs,CA so I go once a month on a pin run to DLR. I used to live in NYC but got tired of the winters. I am married almost 19 yrs (July 21st is our anniversary) to my best friend Jerry and we have 2 beautiful daughters,Kathryn (almost 17) and Bridget age 9.

I started collecting and trading in 1999. I love the people who I have met on the boards and many have been blessed to meet in person. I have a blast finding pins for people at DLR,(ask people about my lists ).Hope to keep this up for a long time.

My name is Lauri - I got sucked into this hobby back in November of 1999 on my honeymoon.

I'm married to Obi-Wan Pinobi - live in Richmond, VA - no kids but I have 5 dogs, 14 birds and 3 fish.

I have 3 jobs - One full time for Hallmark as a corporate manager, one full time keeping an eye on Obi-Wan Pinobi and a part time job watching AZJazzyJ when Trina needs some time off. Which reminds me, I need to talk to Trina.. I think I'm over due for a raise.

My name is Winnie and hey! This is my 400th post!! Woo Hoo!!
I have enjoyed the DIS boards. Especially this collectors boards.
You guys lovingly took me in after I became one of the "Banned" from the now "infamous" All-Star board.

Hubby Fred & I started collecting pins in April of 2001. We started off collecting Pooh, then Fred wanted a special character to collect, so he chose Steamboat Willie. The we got into the Patriotic pins since he is in the military. Then we found out about the great "Honeymoon" pins and began to collect those as well as any other bridal/love pins.

We love going to events and hanging out with our gang of pin pals. They introduced us to Scoop, and we are now official "Scoopies".

Sorry, I've not posted much. I'll try to do better and not lurk so much.
