Does anyone know anything about Knott's Chicken dinner

My husband ate at the famous chicken place as a kid and wants to do it again. Is the restaurant still there?
do they take reservations?

Yes, it is still there, but the don't take reservations unless you are a party larger than twelve. I know there is always a long line way out the door, so try to go during off-times. It is really good. Don't forget to save room for boysenberry pie!

By off-times, I mean, don't go during the typical lunch time or dinner time. Go at 11:00, or between 2:30 and 5:00, either before or after most people would be eating.

We were there 1 1/2 years ago and it was as good as I have always remembered. If the line is too long, they have a take out area next door. It has the same food but you can "pick and choose", rather than ordering the full dinner. We chose to do the take out one night when the line was too long and if I remember correctly, they gave us paper plates, napkins and plastic silverware. We took it back to our motel and enjoyed it without all the noise. Debby
