Does anyone know anything about Eagle Pines?

For a short time in 2002, DVC was tooting their horn about the new villas at the Eagle Pines golf course. Now the only thing I am hearing about is the Saratoga Springs resort. I was playing golf on Eagle Pines and saw some construction going on. Are they still being built? When can we expect them to open? I checked the member site and there are no artist renderings like there are for SS nor are there any descriptions or number of units to be built.

Can anyone add to this?

When Eagle Pines was first announced, artist renderings were made available, along with a typical press annoucement about the plans for the project, including number of villas. (It was to have been larger than OKW.)

When DVC announced SSR Eagle Pines was placed on hold and other than ppossible completing the access road they had already begun, all construction has been concentrated on the SSR project.

Eagle Pines reportedly has not been scrapped, but has been postponed. It would have required extensive infrastructure (roadways, utilities, sewer, etc.) before building construction could start, where all of those concerns are already in place at the SSR site. This allows for an opportunity for a quicker completion at SSR- desirable since VWL and BCV have both sold so well.
