Does anyone know about the new Gameboy Advance?

The Gameboy Advance SP? I heard it is backlit and has rechargable batteries. Anyone know anything, good or bad?

well I don't have experience using it...but I did just buy one for my DS5, but have not opened it yet.

What I know of it is that it has backward compatibility so it will play Gameboy Color & Gameboy Advance games.

The batteries are supposedly lasting 18 hours w/out the backlight on and approx. 10 hours with constant use of the backlight.

The battery charger is also included in the box.

Same game, just different design.

I was told that you need to charge the battery 3 hours prior to first use.

Toys R Us had a great box style carry case w/strap, platinum color with room for game cartridges for $11.99 so I bought that too.

P.S. A new Disney Motocross game was due to be released yesterday for Gameboy, so I'm looking for that for our road trip.

My DS 8 got it about a week ago. He loves it. The screen is much clearer and easier on the eyes. All his games work just fine in it. I has been really nice having a rechargeable battery.

I've got one. It's a lot better than the previous Game Boys. The lighted screen really helps see the screen a lot better.
