We stayed in a junior suite in January of 2004 and September of 2004. Not sure of the sq footage; the rooms are located in the garden wings where the hallways bend around. (I am sure that sounds strange...)
I would say that the rooms sleep 4-there is a king sized bed and a sleeper sofa in the livingroom area. There is a wetbar with a small refrigerator and a coffee maker but no microwave. I have photos, let me know if you'd like me to email them to you.

Don't know if this is too late but our suite was bigger than posted. It sounds the same/similar except we had an internal door that lead to a "regular" room with beds, bath, etc.
We were 4 adults and a child. My parents slept in the regular room and me, dh, and ds were in main area with sleeper sofa and bed. It had a regular size dining table, huge bathroom, etc.
I didn't book this room. We were booked in the "one" suite at the time at Shades of Green and during renovations we were moved here. I want to say they called it a one bedroom jr. suite. It was a few years back and when I asked for info people had little if any experience with these rooms. Even CM's weren't sure.
It was HUGE!! 2 entrances with one to I guess "jr. suite" part and one to separate "regular" room. 6 would fit into our configuation easily and "legal!"
Sorry I can't come up with any more details!
mmluvr said:I suspect a connecting room was added to your reservation to accomodate your family. When we stayed in the JR suite I noticed there was a door that connected to the next room which was a regular room.
Of course I could be very wrong and have proven it on many occassions!
rmontgo892 said:No, I can be wrong!Happens all the time!
My point was our configuration was different with the addition of the regular room so they can accomodate more people but then it's not considered a Jr. suite, I guess? So, it's "my bad!"
No bad, it is all goodMy guess is that when you booked your accommodation at SOG there was nothing like that to accommodate your family at CR; the connecting room was added to make up for lost space and the cost of a one bedroom at SOG. Does that make any sense??
Can you tell me what these jr. suites cost? I wonder how much it costs to add the regular room? As I said, I never "booked" these so I have no clue what they normally run and if the cost was on the back of the door I am blanking now!![]()
mmluvr said:We've paid about $245 or so with an AP in Sept and January. To add another regular room would incur an additional cost. (Don't know how much a regualr garden wing room is off peak with an AP.)
rmontgo892 said:You are the only other person I *know* who had this room! You all must love them! Didn't they have an extra large balcony?? I think we were in South tower where they put all SoG people?? I always wondered how that affected Contemporary "lovers" especially "wing" people. It's over know.![]()
We always wondered if people in the North wing loved being close to the pool and South wing people liked being closer to walk to the MK.
May I ask what started your family in the Jr. suites??
We have stayed in so many of the WDW resorts and had so many visits I really can't remember *crap* anymore.Plus we are cult members aka DVC members.
People really think we lost our marbles....
mmluvr said:I agree that the visits begin to run together after awhile (I am sure others will not sympathize with this dilemma...)
Yes, the JR Suite had the awesome big patio. On our first visit, our room was right across from the playground which DS age 4 LOVED. (umm, I think he forgot we were at DiSNEY WORLD!!!!!) We would open up the sliding door and sit on the patio and watch him play. I got such a kick out of the fact that there were two patios (his and hers????) and we watched the water parade every night.
As a kid it was always a dream to stay at the CR. Last year I was pricing out the cost of a weekend with CRO and a JR suite came up. I liked the thought of having all the space and being able to walk to the MK (we were in the north garden wing.) I have to admit that the furnishings are over the top and that the hallways are shabby but I still get such a huge grin on my face knowing we are sooooooooo close to the MK. I suspect we will stay in one when we visit on October for MNSSHP.
