Does anyone highly recommend the dining plan?

hey guys,
just wondering who has opted for the dining plan with their MYW tickets? I have bought my package but can add this option on? should I do it or not? It will be my DH and DS(2 yo) and me....we are planning on doing some character dining, and some of the restaurants like, sci-fi, 50's prime time, stuff like that and of course Starlight Rays and MK and so on.....any tips would be great.

Hi, we enjoy using the dining plan. There were three of us my husband and 15 year old son. We made all our Disney reservations in advance for PS that was part of the dining plan choices for our sit down meals. We used the counter service meals for breakfast in our hotel (Pop Century). It worked well for us saving about $50.00 to $125.00 per day. I would do it again. My son's family all ate with us on an anuual pass discount and we had no problems getting separate bills. I often gave an extra tip to our servers which some tried to return because tip was included for all sit down meals.
