Does anyone here use flannel sheets?

I have a question.....With your flannel sheets, do you use both the top/cover sheet along with the fitted / bottom sheet?

We've been using the fitted sheet only during the last few winters here because I thought it would be too hot using both.

Have those of you in the milder climates found that to be true?

Granted, we've been experiencing record-setting heat (85 for the high the last few days), so I'm not sure when those flannel sheet will come out of the linen closet.

I use both the bottom and top sheet on mine.

Looks like I'm in the minority here, but I can't stand flannel sheets. I like cool, crisp cotton with a high thread count. I can't take being hot when I sleep.

We use them year round also. I buy Lands' End and have had several sets for many years and they are still in great shape. I also bought some from Disney Direct for their fun Disney patterns and they were surprisingly pretty good also - DD has them on her bed and I have a set as well. (P.S. best time to buy is at the end of the season for clearance prices).

LOVE my flannel sheets. I won't go another winter without them. It is so nice crawling into a bed that isn't feezing! They are so soft and comfy.

I use them on my bed and my kids beds every year when it gets cooler. I just love how soft they feel.

I use the top and the bottom flannel sheets. I don't find them heavy or hot. We have the sheets with a comforter on top, no blanket. It's also about 65 or cooler in our bedroom and sleep with a fan on.

DH and I loved how soft and warm they were, but both of us ended up getting heat rash on our legs after a few days and had to get rid of them. So we just compromised and sleep in flannel jammies instead!!
