Does anyone here use Bufferin (pain med)?

The only reason I ask is because it's a running joke in my family that my grandmother ONLY takes Bufferin when she has a cold or has an ache somewhere.

It's like "my big fat greek wedding" and the father uses windex for everything.

She could see someone walking down the street and their arm could be falling off (extreme, I know) and she'll tell them to take 2 Bufferin.

My dad got food poisoning last week, and my mom calls me to tell me that 'Mommom' was over the house giving him two Bufferin.

Does anyone else use this or is my grandmother keeping the whole company afloat?

Wow - when I read the title of this it made me think of my 91 year-old aunt, who died many years ago. She also took it religiously and given that she lived to 91 must mean it has some magic powers!!!!

I don't think I've heard it mentioned since then.

Ok, I'm old but not that old 55 -- but when I was a kid you only took two meds; one was Asprin and the other Buffrin. I haven't heard it mentioned in years. For some reason I want to say and I don't know why when an Asprin didn't work it was time to take an Buffrin and that would help.

Oh my gosh! I thought Bufferin was a thing of the past! My beloved Noni took Bufferin for everything! Aches, pains, colds, flu, feelin' anxious, feelin' blue - take a coupla Bufferins!

These old gals must be on to something. She gave me liberal doses as a child and I'm the healthiest person I know today. She passed away 11 years ago, and I still miss her every single day. I think I'd break down and cry if I were to see a package of Bufferin on the shelves. I don't think it's marketed in the south.

LOL, I know about the Windex thing...I always say that to my DH's friend who swears by plain old vitamin C. He came over yesterday and I was lying dead on the couch and he starts up with the vitamin C again...at which someone will always say "Put some windex on it"

My medicine of choice is aspirin. I swear by it for everything. Aspirin was the miracle drug of the 1800's-it works for me.
