Does anyone have these camcorders?

I was a wal mart today and saw these miniDv camcorders. I really like both of them alot. I'm just trying to find a way to convience dear ol dh to buy me one! So anyone with one of these or any others in this price range please tell me your experiences.

1st one. is a JVC GRD3349 MiniDV, 16x/700x digital zoom, 2.5 high resolution viewfinder. The price is 347.63

2nd one is Panasonic Palmcorder PV-GS9 MiniDV, 20x/800x digital zoom, 2.5 in color swivel monitor,1 hour 15 minute battery, a/v out, ear phone jack, 1.3 sec. quick start. The price for this one is 348.73

We have a JVC one (the model number is slightly different than the one you mention, but I'm sure it's practically the same). We've had it for about a year and so far we really like it! My dh bought it on ebay, I don't know how much it was. In the $300 range I think. It is so nice having such a small and light camcorder though!! Since there are so many functions on it, it takes some getting used to. I still sometimes worry that I'm not using it correctly lol. But so far so good. Good luck!

We have a JVC miniDV as well with a slightly different model #. Ours takes still pics, too. It has a lot of features I'm still learning how to use, but I really like it. It's small and light-weight, and takes great video. We also have a dvd recorder so we can hook our camcorder into our dvd recorder with one 'dv' wire, instead of the yellow/white/red wires on each component that we used to have to use. It's really great.

$347 is a great price. You could always buy it for your husband for fathers day if you have kids! OR a birthday!

I'd love a dvd camcorder that also takes digital pictures...less to carry! For the right price, it may happen.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try to get it, someway I'll have to do some research on them. One way or another I will get one before our trip in December!
