Does anyone have the Canon PowerShot SX40

I know this is a little OT, but my 3SIS is dying and I need a new camera...which is quite the budget-buster! I love my 3S, but it has become unreliable and I don't want to be without a camera. This model looks similar, but an upgrade. I was hoping someone here might have one and could comment on it's quality and value; I believe they are around $425 or so.

I have the 5S1S and love it. To me it would be worth replacing. Actually, ours got a speck under the lens and we spent $250 to get it fixed. We also have the S120 and like it as a compact one. It doesn't have all the features of the 5S but it's still a great one. I hope that helps.

Don't have it.....yet!!! I have been investigating it for the past few days. Looks to be promising! I may bite the bullet!!! My local Best Buy has it in stock.

I too have an S3IS and absolutely love it!!! Works fine. But I have taken ALOT of pics with that camera and it is only a matter of time.

Thanks Swimalie...I didn't realize these were still made.

I'm still leaning towards the PowerShot SX40; for the extra $30 it seems like a deal in comparison.

I'd love to know if/when you get one wdwmom2...I might be right behind you. Hope mine holds on for a little longer...
