Does anyone have pictures from a Wishes or Illuminations Cruise? We are thinking of doing this on our next trip but I would like to know for sure that it is a good view. If you have done this would you reccommend it? TIA!

I've got some pictures from Illuminations here:

Not a real profressional so not the best pictures, but I did take some. :)

While I don't know that I would say the view was 'better', it was different and a lot of fun. You can most likely get a better view on the land from different spots - it was more something interesting and cool to do. And we shared it with Disers so that made it even better...

I think I have pictures from the MK cruise before wishes, I'll look for them. Again, the view from in the park is better. It's just different on the water...

Here's a shot from one of my favorite viewing areas, Germany. This particular photo isn't that great but it gives you a good idea of what the view is like. I was standing on the little bridge.

Another favorite spot is from the balcony of the restaurant in Japan. I like how the gate looks with the fireworks behind it.

Here's one from China. It's not a good place to see the stuff on the water because of the island right in front of you. Although, I think it is kind of interesting. You can see the stuff in the air just fine from pretty much anywhere around the lagoon.

Thanks for all the replys... We still haven't decided about the boat ride but it sounds like fun. Is it a pain to leave the park to get on the boat?

I have done both and in my opinion the Illuminations cruise was one of the best things we have ever done. We were so close we could feel the heat from the barge. It was awesome, breathtaking and if you can do it - a not to be missed event.

Now - the Wishes cruise. It was nice - but they don't have something to dock to like in the Illuminations cruise so every once in a while because you are drifting they start the engine up and move - I found it to be very distracting. I also think you "feel" the Wishes show more if you are in the MK. I wouldn't do a Wishes cruise again unless the price really went down - like that would ever happen.

The Illuminations cruise I would do again in a heartbeat.

Sorry I don't have photos of either. It was several years ago when we did them.
