Does anyone have pics of main street closure?

So, is the full hub blocked off? Can you walk through the castle?

We will be there on the 21st. Here’s to hoping the hub will be done by then...

You can walk through the castle but you have to walk around the hub to get to it. Kind of like when they have the area still blocked off after fireworks.

I had been hopeful it would be a bit less intrusive. Will be interested to see if they reopen that area as they continue moving it towards the front of the park.
And Thank You for posting!

That's a big chunk of space blocked out.
While it doesn't look to appealing, I hope with the tall walls there are crews working round the clock to complete the project.

Wow. So you can't even get to the Partners statue?

I have to say, as small a thing as that is, that is something we do every time we are there - especially since we live in another country so our trips are far from frequent.

I am hoping this is minimized by the time we are there in March. I can only imagine that it would be very crowded having this in place during say Spring Break!

I can see why there are no Fireworks for January though now.

Thanks for the update - disappointing, we are heading in a few weeks, i know they have to do the work at some point but it's frustrating how much is not on (frozen show/fireworks/paradise pier construction).

Leaving Frontierland facing the hub.

The only part of Main Street affected right now is the hub. The rest of the street is normal. But it really does take away a lot from the atmosphere unfortunately. And also makes it rather congested trying to get around.

We always get pix in front of it, also. I'd be really sad to miss it.

How odd! Wasn't expecting this, but oh well I'm not too bothered by it. I'm going in early February, so hoping that crowds won't be too crazy to the point where it makes things super congested. Has anyone been there the first weekend in February? We'll be there the 3rd-9th. I'm guessing the 3rd and 4th (Saturday and Sunday) will be the worst, crowd-wise.

Does the MS blockage mean that rope drops will change? Can guests still stand to the left/right of the main partners circle? I'll be there Sunday (what a surprise) and hope to be able to follow my routine with as little change/disruption as possible.

I was not there for rope drop so I'm not sure how they handled it. You will have to report back on how that is working now.

I wonder how fast the work will take & how fast they'll move up main street......Il be there in 2 weeks. I did expect the wall to go completely up main so its not that bad, i didnt look forward to walking all the way down main street to get to the other side....
Atleast i know what to expect when we get there and we can still walk through the castle- thats agood thing.
Thanks for the pics :thumbsup2

Last time they did rail work on and around main street, they built walls that were only 3-4' tall on either side of the tracks with a roof...so it was just like a long box going down the middle of main street with cut outs to walk between. They were just big enough to cover the tracks and you could tell they moved them at night to actually do the work so they did not wall off all the work area needed full time. Other than navigating around them, it did not block the visuals at all. Would fully expect to see the same thing for this refurb again and would not worry one bit.
I remember that too. The covering was quite pleasant looking. Well, as much as it could be! LOL! Wasn't it blue and white stripes? I don't think there was much impact really.
