Does anyone have info on LaDoble?

According to the Dis. under dining "In April, there will be a new restaurant opening in Pleasure Island area named LaDoble, which will be a part of the e-brands group." I am hoping someone will know what kind of food ( American, ethnic) and what kind of atmosphere? I am hoping that maybe someone has heard a rumor or maybe has seen the building? TIA

A restaurant and bar opening in spring 2009 in Downtown Disney will feature Mexican and South American cuisine, an international wine bar and a tequila bar of more than 50 kinds of tequila and 10 signature frozen margaritas. The new, as-yet-unnamed restaurant is being developed by E-Brands Restaurant Group, a multi-concept restaurant group that currently owns and operates Timpano Chophouse and Martini Bars, Samba Rooms, Taqueria Canonita, Aquaknox, David Burke, Salsa Orlando and Canonita Express in a number of cities across the United States. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. until late night, with nightly entertainment.

They keep changing the name. Reports are that it's now set to be called Paradiso 37.

Hope it stays Latin American, with South American cuisine. We used to love Maya Grill when it served nuevo latino cuisine. Never go there now it's just a chops house for conventioneers.

This sounds like it will be a great and sorely needed addition to the WDW dining scene.

I actually kind of hope that they don't. It'd be nice to have one place that you can just walk into. Especially since it sound like more of a bar/restaurant than a restaurant with a bar.

Well if they run this place the way they run Aquaknox the food should be very good and somewhat pricey ... probably on par with most of WDW's signature restaurants (in terms of price).

I like the idea of a tequila bar ... especially after being teased by Epcot for the last two years with tales of the bar that was supposed to be added to Mexico pavillion.

This will be in direct competition with Bongos. I'm surprised they're going to have 2 restaurants with similar cuisine in DTD. Bongos management probably isn't very happy about it. It should be a positive addition for guests though. We've never eaten at Bongos, but it gets really bad reviews. I agree that it would be great, if the new restaurant didn't accept DDP.
