Hi, I am horsegirl and just looking to see if any of you have spring yet. Our grass is brown and all sad looking. Looking for a little inspiration that spring is really coming. Thanks.

Yeah,Baby!! And the birds have arrived and are singing their little hearts out! Spring is my absolute favorite time of the year :teeth:

uh...the grass never went brown. In fact, the hills surrounding us look so pretty this time of year - so GREEN!! Then they turn brown in early summer and stay that way 'til the rainy season starts again.

Yes, and I cut the grass yesterday since it was getting messy.

No green here yet, but.....I just saw begining buds on my lilac!! Surely a sign that spring is coming??!!! :cool1:

Our grass never browns, but it gets a little yellowish in the winter. We fertilize the heck out of it, and it stays green all year! It's finally growing though. We've only mowed it 3 times since December!

some green here and there.......it is more then welcome for sure.......rhubarb is starting to poke thru the ground too......YIPPEE ....of course Mother nature could give us a freak snow storm like a few years back and APril fools day blizzard

I can see some hints of green now that most of the snow has melted. My tulips, crocus', lilies and other bulb stuff I planted are starting to come up though.

Oh thank you all for replying-

It is very brown here too, the nice lady from Ontario, we are practically neighbors.

I hope more of you will post images of spring so that my pasture might get greener and if anyone has any gardening hints. I would love to hear them,

Ahhhh... I THOUGHT I knew you, too. Heh, heh.

We got chucks of green here and there, been pretty much that way all winter. The lake (Ontario) didn't give us as much snow as usual. It was a pretty calm winter. Thank goodness.

Here & there--our type of grass goes dormant in the winter but perks up like crazy with the rainfall we get but we need rain badly. Of course saying that probably woke up the hurricane gods. :rotfl2:

Where's Lil' Grumpy?

I want to hear about his grass.

Oh, that would explain alot! Yes I would too. Could someone tell me what type of grass seed grows the most fertile grass? Ours is terribly dismal :guilty:

I am ashamed to say so, but I haven't even noticed the grass! I'm going to have to look tomorrow morning and get back to you on that...
