Hi everyone.

This will be our first trip. We are hoping to go in June. I have 2 children 9 and 13.

Does anyone have any 'must do' suggestions?

I am so overwhelmed!

Well its not a must do but its neat. When you get in line to board monorail as the CM if you can ride up front with driver. Another tip when you go to the MK check out the time for the parade then get there about an hour early and go up the stairs on top of train station to watch. Its shady and they have chairs. Its a good vantage point to watch from.

Oh...that sounds like fun!!!

Can you see the whole parade from up there? the shaded area sounds nice.

Thank you.

The parade thing is a GREAT idea... I will use that next time.

We did the monorail driver and the kids loved it. YOu get the 'drivers license w/doing this as well.

I just ask DDs and they said that at MK the face painting is pretty cool and inexpensive. It is located in Toon Town and they do not just do Face painting it is really artwork. There are numerous "faces" that both ages and sexes would love. I believe it was $28 for both and well worth it.

DD9 says you have to do Soarin at Epcot.

Rock and Roller Coaster w/Aerosmith. (HS)

Your kids may not be into it but the fireworks at MK start out w/Tink 'flying' from Cinderellas Castle.....pretty much that made the whole trip for the girls.
YOu have to be at a good vantage point to catch her and it happens very fast.

Yes you can see the whole parade come down mainstreet and then they come around the circle right in front of you then continue on over by the barbershop and out the big employees gate, its great. Make sure to get some popcorn and some drinks before you go up to find a chair. There are not a lot of them up there.

Do you need a chair? or is there a place to stand and watch. We can sit down on the ground until it starts and then stand? Is that possible?

If you have reservations at Coral reef, it's a very unique experience to get personalized menus made. They are free of charge. All you have to do is email debbie, the manager, the pics and she will make it happen Here is ours...

They are no longer doing this.:sad2:

At those ages, I'd watch the planning DVD together, or give your kids one of the guide books geared to them, and just ask them what they want to do the most. - They'll probably be a big help!

Yes you can stand but it is nice to be able to sit. Its not a very big area so hence the need for getting there early.
