We're eating at 'Ohana's for our upcoming trip, and I was going to switch it to Kona Cafe until the CM told me with excitement how its her favorite restaurant and how there is a big fire pit in the center where they cook!! Then she told me they serve shrimp -- and I love shrimp! it's my favorite food!! So i decided to stick with it, but i'm still having trouble with the decision. I feel that it might be too "kiddish" for 20 somethings.

Does anyone have any pics of the atmosphere? I'd really appreciate it!

hi there just a few words on ohana me and my wife ate there and it is a wonderful place to have dinner and the food is really good we had a table by the window and when we looked out u can see the castle and the gf it is going to be one of our top places to eat on our next trip.:tinker:

In fact, the bar that's in front is quite busy. There will be children and there's a gosh awful Hawaiian entertainer. The kids have little games and hula dance--but it's not too distracting. If you don't care about sitting by the windows in the main room, you could sit to the side closer to the bar. It's a bit quieter.

I last ate there with 4 adults, 2 teens and it was fine....especially when we decided to indulge in a few of the exotic drinks.:rotfl:

My DS 20 and I went to Ohana's in May and it was one of our favorite meals. I also am very fond of shrimp and they were so good and we actually asked for a second helping of them. The salad and potatoes were great and the meats were very good also. We also liked the chicken wings a lot. They did have the entertainment going on but it was on the other side of the restaurant and it really didn't bother us any. The dessert was to die for...make sure you save some room for it! Here is the link of some pictures...scroll down about 2/3 of the page and you will find Ohana's pictures.

Thanks for all the help everyone! When we get there I'll be sure to ask for a window seat!
