does anyone have an update on stomach virus?

we are flying down on thurs and was wondering if the stomach thing was still going on. we are staying off site, but i am sure the germs are all over the parks. we are staying a few nights up near sea world first, has anyone heard if it has been up there too?

We just returned on Jan 5th and my son had one day of not feeling well. On our fourth day he started to complain of stomach cramps while we were in the Nemo show of Animal Kingdom. Was sick to his stomach once, fell asleep in the evening and was better by the next morning.

We did see several people get sick at the parks. Those poor CM's how have to clean up afterwards. I would just make sure that you wash your hands frequently and/or bring sanitizer or wipes with you.

thanks for the reply. you are lucky he had a minor case. my grand daughter is 3 and i dont really want to spend much of the trip in the room being miserable. yes, i will be bringing lots of hand sanitizer and anti bacterial wipes with us. i feel bad for the cm's too, i bet they have alot of horrible messes they have to deal with on a regular basis that they dont need anything extra, especially gross when it isnt' your own child's! hope you had a nice trip.

Yes it is as of this week I herd someone say they had it last week while on vacation. Clorox wipes are your friend.

No problems for us this week. We've been here since the 1st and had one buffet (CM), several meals at counter service restaurants, a bunch of queue's to stand in, in short all the spots that have been suspected. No special precautions were taken.
