Does Anyone Have an Inkjet Printer They Love?

I have an Epson Workforce 645 that does just fine with everything except printing color pictures. Color output is lousy, no matter what I do. Have tried copying pictures so there is no software issue and it's just poor quality. Have new cartridges so that's not the problem. I use the Workforce in my job with the scanning, faxing, etc. and thought it could serve all purposes.

I'm all set with my Amy Mickey transfers and my designs and my t-shirts but I know the print isn't going to be vivid enough and I don't want to waste my materials. I'm wondering if I am going to have to go out and buy a different ink jet just for this use. Does anyone have one that really does a great job of printing color pictures? I figure if anyone knows the best ones, it will be some of you folks!

Thanks much!

Thanks for asking this question.

I'm partial to Canon. I have 2 Canon printers in the house. I print all my photos and people are shocked when I tell them that I printed them myself. The colors are amazing even when I print my transfers. Canon now has a grey ink tank specifically for photo printing which makes colors spot on. =)

Thanks for the information! I have never had a Canon so will look at those. Printers are not so expensive anymore, although of course the ink is a different story. I'm thinking I may need to buy one that does pictures well whether it does anything else or not since I don't need another all-in-one.

I hate our HP ink jet. It takes so long to even begin to print and it bangs and crashes for way to long. The paper jams constantly. It creases the paper as it feeds it. Oh, and the cord has a bad connection so if I don't hold it just so the power turns off. I would think I just have a bum model but my mom has an HP laser jet and has had nothing but trouble with it. HP replaced it for free because my mom got their protection plan and they had to send 4 different printers of the exact same model until we got one that worked. Also when my mom called to get help the technician made the problem worse. I had a Canon for many years and was happy with it (never really looked much at the print quality but it was fast and I never had problems. It did jam eventually (when I was printing on Amy's transfers for our last trip) but I had had it for many years and it was much better than my HP. Our next printer may be a Canon but it won't be an HP and I hope to get one sooner than later.

Thanks for the info! As much printing as people on this board do, I couldn't think of a better place to ask.

I have an HP Photosmart inkjet printer and I am very happy with it. The thing I love most of all is that it has multiple color ink cartridges. So you only need to replace the color that is low.
