My 6 year old niece and 4 year old nephew are heading to WDW next month. They are so excited but are too young to understand when they are going. Does anyone have a template of a paperchain I will hang in their rooms? That way they can count down the days.

Thanks!

We just took constuction paper and cut it in strips. Then we made it into a circle and stapled the ends together. Kept doing that until we made a big enough chain to count down the days.

My daughter did this with our 2 1/2 year old grandaughter and it helped her so much visualize the days to go. She has no concept of days and weeks but she was able to see the chain get smaller all the time. SHe even packed a few of her chains in her suitcase for mickey.

Wow! Thanks to all! I can't wait to give these to the kids so they can start their countdown. I might print out one for me!!!:teeth:

What a fun idea. I'm going to get one made tonight so I can surprise my DD with it in the morning. We leave in a little over 2 weeks so I think this will be a good time to really start getting her excitement building. She knows we're going but, being not yet 3, she hasn't really understood about when we're going. I'm sure this will make it a little easier for her to understand.

Thanks all for posting!
