I still am debating what to purchase and a PAP sure sounds good but please help me decide. Little Background:

We are staying for 2 weeks at Disney in June (may go back in December also not sure though) and definitly we will go in Spring break.

We want to go to the Water Park but we cannot go in daytime (doctor told no to my little one for sunburn sensitive skin-long story) so we can only go in the evenings or when there is no sun and I am not sure how long they are open till but we definitly will go either once or twice.

We want to do Disney quest maybe 2 times during our stay.

The price would be almost around $1400 for PAP's and we will be purchasing Universal 2 day tickets too.

We are staying at Dolphin and I am debating whether I should do Annual Pass or Premium Annual Pass or maybe a 10 day pass?. HELP!!

Well it sounds like you will be making 3 trips during that one year - if that's the case I would definitely go ahead and do the PAP - although I don't have one (we usually don't make it twice with a one year period) I think if you are doing the water parks and Disney Quest that it will be worth the money for your family.

We have APs, and usually end up not buying the PAP. When we add up how many days each of us will actually use the plus features, we usually will make out just paying for them as we go.

This year, our APs expire in June, and we're going to just buy PH + passes for October, and then APs in March ( the reasoning has to do with when ds turns 10... ). We figure that those Plus features will take us through the next year...

I'd add up the projected cost of just paying for your Water Park and DQ visits, and decide which works better for you. You may find out that it makes sense for some of you to get APs, and some of you to get PAPs. Good luck!

We decided to get PAP's for our trip. We are going for 8 days in Oct. Im going to try to go back at the end of Dec/first of Jan before school starts back and then again next Sept. So we will get atleast 2, hopefully 3, trips out it so for us its a good deal. I think they are they way to go if you are going more than once. I was trying to decide between the 10 day pass with the character breakfast or the PAP but we come out cheaper with the PAP.

We have PAP's-Me, DH, DD7 &DS 11. Here is how we use(d) them. We went June 30 and stayed for 14 days--park hopped daily, also went to DQ and TL.

We went for Easter stayed for 10 days. Park hopped daily, one trip to DQ and 1 trip to PI for the adults.

DH and I go next weekend for three days (our Anniversary--we would not have done this if we didn't get the AP rate on the lodging and didn't already have passes paid for--we decided to go for it once the code rates became available, too good to pass up!) We will park hop each of the three days and go to PI.

We have one last trip planned for June 25-30th. We plan to park hop daily and will hit DQ and at least one water park. Our next trip will not be until August 2004, and we will buy PAP's again. We feel we made a wise choice in purchasing them. The only "unplanned trip" was for our anniversary.

Thanks for your replies.

I think I will add up to see how much each park or dq will cost separately and see what figures i come up with.

Thanks everyone!!

I, too, think it may be cheaper to buy APs and purchase your minor park admissions as you go. Seems to me you have to do a lot of water parks, etc. before it would make sense to get PAPs.

Good move. It doesn't matter how many trips you make to Disney when deciding between an AP and a PAP. What matters is how many trips to the water parks, DQ, and PI you will make when you are there.

Determine the difference in price between the AP and PAP. Estimate how many trip you will make to the water parks, DQ, and PI and how many admissions that will require. Add up the cost of those admissions. If they are more than the difference between the two passes get the PAP, if less go with the AP. It really is a simple decision when you stop to think about it.

We buy PAP's for our 10-14 day trips, mainly for the flexibility they offer. If it looks like rain, and you pay admission to the water park just before it cuts loose.... you lose that money. If you have a PAP you just leave and come back later that day or another.

We have been known to go to the water park, ride a couple of rides and leave. I like having the freedom to do this every day if we so choose.

I guess for us the added $ is worth the flexibility.
