Does anyone have a MNSSHP report??

Everyone was guided to Tomorrowland until the park was cleared of the day guests.

70+ Characters were out in their halloween finery from 7 to midnight.

The halloween pins were for sale at 6 in tomorrowland.

Main Street had the Haunted Mansion theme while we were walking down.

I'll be there on the 14th and was just wondering if you were able to get in before 7 pm.. Like 5 pm or so... We were planning on going in about that time.. Just after our DS2 gets up from his nap..

Thanks!

Hi, I was there last night (Oct 3), and it was a blast!!!!!!!! :teeth: This was my first party, and we had a great time. I don't know about getting before 7:00, since we left Caribbean Beach on the bus at 6:30 for the party. The bus ride was fun - about 20 of the people were in full costume, making a festive atmosphere. The driver welcomed us to the "Bus of Terror!"

The decorations were cool! Even the Toll Plaza had big pumpkins on it! There were pumpkins in the windows up Main Street, and neat lighting everywhere. Large pumpkin balloons hung all over the park. Many people were in costumes, and some were very creative! I did not have a costume, and certainly did not feel out of place. :)

Characters were out! Mickey and Donald were in Toontown; Rollie Pollie Ollie and Zoe were in Toontown, too - very unusual to see them out greeting. The seven dwarves were all out - usually near the Carousel. The line control was bad, though - they were all standing close together and people were crowded them, so it was hard to figure out how to get to them. At the end of the night, the seven dwarves marched repeatedly around Fantasyland for about 20 minutes!! Cool sight! Also saw Goliath the Gargoyle!

By Ariel's Grotto, there was a DJ playing lots of loud music, and the characters from Hunchback were dancing with kids - Quasimodo, Clopin, Esmeralda, and Phoebus, too! Parade is a must, since it was all floats not seen in other parades. :)

I was there for five hours, and I never got to half the park! Luckily, I go again on Sunday, so I can see everything again! :)

Here is some decorations near the entrance (sorry so dark!)

I am way to excited now! Glad to hear it was a great time, we go on the 10th. Also good to know you don't feel out of place with no costume because that will be me.

yes you may go in any time of the day you wish. Just make sure you have your event tickets and costumes with you if you don't want to leave. After 4 p.m. look for people in orange shirts that either say "Trick or Treat" or say "Mickey's Not So Scarry Halloween Party" on them.

Show them your ticket, they will punch it showing it has been used (so it can't be passed off to another person) and wristband you.

I cannot wait!!!! We aren't going until the 31st, but hearing the reports is making me that much more excited!!!

I also went on October 3. This was my first Halloween Party as well.

An interesting note here: We went early (about 5pm) and used our MNSSHP tickets. We went on a few attractions (Philharmagic, Small World). We thought we would be able to still ride all the rides between 6pm and 7pm, but they were bustling everyone to Tomorrowland. Only Tomorrowland attractions were open from 6pm - 7pm. HOWEVER - THEY OPENED UP THE CAROSEL OF PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ALWAYS MISS THIS AND IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES!

We noticed a giant "Stitch" float on top of Alien Encounter (foreshadowing, I suppose).

The halloween parade was really cool... they had one at 8pm and one at 10pm. After the first parade, my wife and I went to Splash Mountain and rode it about 6 times in a row. She had a tigger outfit on and everyone at the park loved it... Everyone was bouncing up and down when they saw her

We were able to get our pictures taken with about 20 different characters throughout the night. The characters really played up to my wife's costume as well.... they would grab her hands and start jumping up and down. The villians laughed at her and shoke their heads... it was really cool. There were tons of characters all over the place.

We rode Space Mountain and had the whole "Space Shuttle Train" to ourself. That was a first!

The theming was spectacular! Everything was lit up in green and orange. The haunted mansion was lit up in a real spooky green and it looked really cool.

We stayed from 5pm until about 11:45pm. The parades and character lines were kind of crowded, but the attraction lines were non-exisistant.

Happy to answer any questions!

We went on the 3rd too - it was our first MNSSHP and we had a GREAT time. We did not have real costumes - just the orange Target shirts - there were about 12 of us in these. Me, my mom and my DH also had headband type things that were devil horns, a pumpkin lid, and Frankenstein head. We did not feel out of place not wearing costumes.
The trick or treating was really fun, the rides had little waits. And we also got to see CoP!!
Everything looked great - spooky atmosphere but not too scary for the kids. We really enjoyed the parade, although IMO the Hoedown theme was too long; I guess that's what made it Not-So-Scary.
We walked in at 7pm and plopped down on Main St for the 8:00 parade. At first I didn't want to do this for an hour, but it was so fun to see all the costumes! Definitely take some time to people watch. Usually whole families were in costume and it looked great.

I have 2 questions. How were the crowds at the party and where in Tommorrowland did you buy the pins? THANKS!

Don't know about the pins

Crowds were not a problem for us AT ALL except around 8:30 behind the castle....this area was heavily congested since it had Snow and all 7 dwarves, Merlin doing a sword and stone thing, Cindy's carriage with a long line awaiting photos, plus the rides and Mickey's PhilHarmagic dumping out after each show.

Enjoy!!

we went last night, and I echo all the others comments about the decorations, characters, etc....one thing I wish I would have had was BUG SPRAY. the mosquitoes were horrific

ride lines weren't bad, but they got smaller and smaller as the night wore on. It was hot and the even was sold out.

we entered the park at 6:45, but I spoke to someone that got in around 5 with only a party pass.

did I mention it was hot? LOL....

face painting is free and located in toontown and adventureland.

Madge - did you think it was hot?;)
actually I don't remember thinking that and I was wearing capris, course we live in TX. Also, the fact that we got soaked on Splash Mtn could have something to do with it. We actually got soaked from the sprays at the beginning of the ride!

We got into the park about 5:15 with just our party tix. Fantasyland was closed so we just decided to grab something to eat at Cosmic Ray's. At 7pm we rode everything in Fantasyland with no waits for anything even Dumbo. It was great!! No crowds at all until about 9pm and then not too bad. We saw the 10pm parade and it was getting a little crowded then but still plenty of open spaces at the ropes. Rode Splash Mt, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion with no wait at all. The riverboat was crowded, so we went back to Fantasyland and rode a few rides and then rode the riverboat at 11:40. By that time it was time to leave, so we just strolled around and then left on the ferry. So many characters were out, including all 7 dwarfs. We had a ball and would do the halloween party every year. The only lines we encountered was the riverboat and the carriage behind the castle around 10:30 or so. We kept riding the rides over and over and didn't get around to the candy stations very much, but still got enough candy to satisfy friend's 7 yr old. Just got home about an hour ago, so no report yet.

Which rides are open during MNSSHP and what time do they begin and what time do they shut down? My kids are ride-junkies and I'm hoping that this evening will allow them to ride everything several times! Thanks! Also, I accidentally purchased an extra ticket for the MNSSHP, do you think WDW will give me a refund? Or can I sell this?

Annetta in Arkansas

I think the only ride that was closed was BTMRR which is closed for rehab. All Fantasyland rides open, but Ariel's Grotto was closed. Rides open at 7pm and go until midnight. If you get there early you should be able to ride everything, most with no waits.

Can you please tell me where you can find all 7 dwarfs?

I am going Oct 14 and would really love a pic with them.

:earsboy:

I can't wait. The more I keep reading, the more my excitement level increases.

We had such a great time last year.
