the A80 Sure Shot or what ever it's called? We love ours. We asked for the easiest one to operate and still get good pictures and it fits both those criteria. I like the way the viewing screen can flip around so it doesn't get scratched. IT has some features I haven't even gotten around to trying out.

I do! I do! Just bought an A80 for my birthday. I took it on my trip to Washington (along with my Canon 10D) and had a great time with it! The shots look terrific and it's extremely easy to use (especially if you're already accustomed to Canons). The video footage I shot turned out great, too! You can even customize the start up screen and operating sounds. Fun! I like that the screen can be turned around, so you can take a picture of yourself, if you want (yes, I did it just for fun). Has all the pre-set functions and manual controls you could ever want (basically the same as my SLR) plus some extra fancy features I still haven't tried. Overall, I think it's a terrific camera. You can't go wrong with Canon!

We bought one in March for our WDW trip, and it took great pics. We just got back from London and Paris and took almost 400 pics, and they are amazing. It's a wonderful camera.

Thumbs up here too! I've just owned my A80 since November (also got it for my birthday).

Love it- very versatile and even has some lenses- wide angle, tele and macro that can be added to extend the range.

Also like that it runs on AA batteries so in a pinch, I can use those. Purchase two sets of rechargeables- one for in use and one as a back up. Works great for me.

I've heard it takes good video too although I haven't played with that feature yet! I keep forgetting about it!
