Does anyone HATE drops on rollercoasters, but...

I would say to all of you...If you like Tower of Terror after you finally try it (and it IS a real blast), you've got to do it a few times during your trip (they don't all have to be back to back rides, of course).

The Tower ride mechanism now has a "randomizer" in it, so you never know how many drops and how high/low they will be.

At one point in May, just as the end of the ride schpiel began, the lights went out on us and we went all the way back up for one more big drop!

---
If anyone DOES chicken out on riding the ride, they should still walk up to the ride and experience the ride queue area. The Hotel exterior with the overgrown bushes and rusting out fountains, the lobby exterior covered in dust and cobwebs, the library room filled with Twilight Zone props (the more episodes you are familiar with, the more things in that room you'll recognize) and then your descent into the abandoned boiler room...all great storytelling!

Yes the last part on Splash Mountain is a little spooky when you are @ the top of the mountain & head down the big drop, but its fun! The drop makes your stomach drop out of your body. :)

I too am very very scared of big drops.(Even on Splash, the first picture they took I was "missing", I was so far down in the seat!) I do however do all the Disney rides. On none of them (except a bit on Splash) do I feel like I'm going to fly out, which is a sensation I hate. I L O V E TOT! Go figure! To me it's more exciting than terrifying. I do have to say that when they move you into the drop part I am thinking, "what am I doing here!" But I do honestly love it and the sensation of going up and down and the randomness of the ride. I do also have to say that it's a very gentle ride.

Can't wait to ride in December!

I duck down on Splash too! I'm glad I'm not the only 1 who does that

Oooh,oooh, this is me!!! :yay:

I HATE the drop on Splash. I will ride Splash but only under protest, it truly makes me so nervous ( the drop that is). However, this summer I tried ToT for the first time, only because my neighbor insisted it was her family's favorite ride. She kept telling me how cool it was. So, I was determined to try it. I ended up riding it 3 times that day and look forward to riding again!! It truly is an awesome experience, you should definitely try it!!

Also, I have to note that all three rides that day were totally different with the frequency/ height of the drops.

I have the worlds worst fear of flying, lifts and especially drops, but love coasters especially duelling dragons, Kraken and the Hulk. This year I was absolutely determined not to let my family down and try ToT. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Tried it and hated it ... to a point of crying and sweating buckets through my hands ... needless to say I will never ever go on it again !!!!!

Don't believe the "Mickey wouldn't hurt you" line .... he absolutely terrified me !

I'm a scaredy-cat on coasters but LOVE TOT :bounce: The more drops, the better. Doesn't scare me one bit.:earsboy:
