Does anyone ever cancel?

Does anyone ever cancel the chefs table at V&A, I really want to surprise Tom BUT everytime I call nada, nuthin, zilch?
Anyone have any secrets to getting in there?
I even considered asking what the cost (if there was one) for a wednesday night, private event! They dont normally have them but I thought i might try! Anyone anyone?

Call V&A's direct (sorry, I don't have the number handy) and ask to be put on the Chef's Table waiting list. We did this two years ago and they called us about 3 weeks before our trip to tell us the table was ours if we still wanted it. So, cancellations do happen. Good luck!
