Does anyone else wish Disney had a Starbucks?

No Starbucks - here at home it is crazy expensive and too strong for me - with the Disney conversion rate;).. I would imagine the price to be about $8.00 a cup.
Now if Disney would be so kind as to get a contract with Dunkin Donuts :banana::banana:

Honestly DH and I are such extreme caffine junkies we don't mind the Nescafe...enough sugar and cream and we are still able to function. ;) Our first sip in our refillabe mugs says " We are at Disney".

I have to agree with everyone - good coffee is hard to find at Disney. We usually bring a pound of Dunkin Donuts with us and brew in the room, but both of us (DH and I) like 1/2 & 1/2 in our coffee - also not available in the gift shops! We've brought a small cooler along when we've driven down!

When staying at Poly, the coffee at Kona is a definite plus!

We have friends who were staying off property a few years ago and found a DD on the way to AK. They say tons of people offered them outrageous of amounts of money for their large coffees as they were walking around the park!:rotfl:

I'd love to see a starbucks there but I have to say we were there last november and they had stands at different parks that had a Pumpkin Latte and boy did it give Starbucks a run for the money! But November 1st it was gone and replaced by some apple drink thing....I was bummed half way thru the trip but I managed to get over it! ;)

There are some spots around WDW where you can get something other than nescafe. I've had some lattes and cappucinos at the kiosk before you get to the turnstiles at AK, at the stand near TT and UOE, at the stand between Canada and UK.

Here is a link to a list of places to find a better cup:

LOL, oh heck no..but a Dunkin Donuts would be nice. Best coffee in the world!

Another vote for Dunkin Donuts here, but I doubt that will happen unless they sponsor a pavillion at Disney for hundreds of millions dollars.

1) Don't like Starbucks.
2) Glad they don't have any at Disney properties.
3) Besides, it would raise the cost of coffee a lot. *

* Disney doesn't pay for coffee. With Starbucks, they would pay some wholesale rate then mark it up.

I like the Writer's Stop in DHS, by the SciFi. They have brewed coffee in there including the froo-froo drinks.

My fav is hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. Yum!

OMG ~ YES!!! So, me & DH are huge coffee drinkers. We drink Dunkin' Donuts brewed coffee @ home. Every now & then I'll get a peppermint white chocolate mocha @ Starbucks & there is no one in the planet that makes it as good as they do! DH gets a pumpkin spice latte from the time they start making them until well after the holidays. It would be so nice & such a treat to be able to grab one of those in the afternoons @ WDW! I would be really okay with them serving Dunkin' Donuts coffee too!!!

Didn't I read somewhere not too long ago that the contract was up with Nestle?Let's hope they get it together with the coffee soon!

I was so bummed one morning when we were @ WDW last month because I had nothing on me but me KTTW card & ended up @ the TTC & remembered reading on the DIS that their coffee stand had great coffee...much to my surprise, they didn't accept the dining plan so I couldn't even get one! :scared1: We didn't have charging added to our cards because there were 8 of us (3 sep. families) staying in the THV. I was so super sad!

The coffee and tea carts at Disney that do not accept the dining plan are Joffrey's. http://www.joffreys.com/about_us

I do not care for Starbucks (but like the stuff they brew at DD and the Speedway gas stations, lol). Joffrey's is OK--at least it is not bitter to me.

I would LOVE a starbucks at wdw! I go to starbucks at least once a day at home.....

Starbucks appears to be contracted with Universal (there are at least two on Universal property) so it seems it will continue to be just a dream for Disney.

Swan/Dolphin (which are not operated by Disney; they are Starwood resorts) sell Starbucks coffee, but they do not have a Starbucks outlet to make specialty drinks.

FYI there IS a Starbucks in Lake Buena Vista not far at all from the crossroads entrance to WDW. It's just under the I4 bridge on the LHS :goodvibes And the baristas there are some of the best I have ever come across. If you go the other way (left) out of the WDW crossroads entrance a Dunkin Donuts comes up on the right :thumbsup2 I myself am a Starbucks frappacino girl so the ones in the Swolphin don't cut it for me but having stayed at SSR a few times I think it's about a 5-10 min drive depending on whether you hit those blooming lights lol lol. HTH

I think I have posted on every "coffee" thread here on the DIS for quite some time. I would LOVE to have Starbucks available on Disney property, I am a coffee addict!! However I would still bring my own, which I do, to be able to wake up to a good cup of coffee.I know that for many, Starbucks means lattes. frappacinos Etc but for me, I just want a good cup of strong coffee in the am and a big iced coffee in the afternoon!!I just returned from a 13 day trip to WDW and we went through almost 3 pounds of Starbucks!!
