Does anyone else think Drew Carey is HORRIBLE on the Price is Right?

Well it's a hard act to follow. He may be re-inventing the role of the game show host, and that could take a while to develop. Give it some time and re-evaluate in 6 months or a year. The Bob Barker-style era has passed, it's time for something different.

I like Drew on TPIR. Bob Barker started when I was 13, it was also the first year of All My Children. He was NOT fabulous that first year. He barely showed enthusiasm when a contestant won. Drew is growing into the job. He's better now tahn he was a couple of months ago.

I think he's doing okay. He's not Bob...but I'll bet Bob wasn't even Bob his first year or so.

I like that he seems to geniunely get excited for the contestants. I also like that he calls the models by their names. I don't remember BB ever doing that.

The 1st few times I watched it with him I didn't like it. But he's grown on me. Just takes a while for the change I guess.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I like the more laid back atmosphere...he's not trying to be 'perfect' it's almost more reality style. It's cool.

IMHO, Drew is getting better; he was totally awful when he first started the show and is now just bad. I don't believe his personality & style are good matches for the show. Maybe he will improve; time will tell.

I think Drew Carey is horrible, period. He's not funny, is fairly stupid, can't act and is generally unappealing.

I was SOO gonna start this thread a couple weeks ago - but figured it as old news & someone else already had brought it up - how lousy he does! NOt only is it his presentation but he doesn't have a CLUE about how the games are played.

CBS would have done WAAAAY better to have casted/interviewd from the thousands of fans & gotten someone that way - not just picked a celebirty just 'cause. They could have dones like Regis & brought candidates in while Bob Barker was still there & let him help choose or soemthing.

Bob Saget - he would have made a WAAAAY better choice than Drew Carey.

I don't think people would be satisfied with anyone doing this job after Bob Barker did it so very well for so many years. Give him time, I think he will grow into it. He does seem like a nice guy.
As for me, I am just so grateful it's not "Rosie O'Donnell's The Price is Right," where she would manage to lecture us on the state of the world (her view of it) in between showcase showdowns.

Anyone seen that clip of him with the woman who had to pee really, really badly? He just kept laughing at her and she just kept saying she really had to go to the bathroom! All the way through playing Plinko, too!

I like Drew Carey, but I don't think he is doing a good job on TPIR.

Same here. I feel the same way. He just isn't right for this show.
