Disney really is pumping out the merchandise and marketing machine for this movie as it seems to be everywhere!

I just feel like probably the big box stores I've been too I've seen something Star Wars:

Target
JCpenny
Walmart
kohls
Toys R Us
Best Buy
....stop and shop, yes lol

Much more but it's funny just to see how it exploded DISNEY must have a LOT riding on this film!

They definitely have a lot riding on it, but they're likely to break sales records before the film even opens! What will they ever do with all that money.....

They certainly have a lot riding on the film. That being said, the prequel trilogy did exceptionally well (though you can see how the quality impacted ticket sales by Ep3):

Episode I: $1.06B ($474M domestic)
Episode II: $600M ($431M domestic)
Episode III: $800M ($380M domestic)

These next 3 would have to be exceptionally bad to not make at least that much. I think Episode VII will easily take the domestic gross title (Avatar, $760M).

I am thrilled. My older boys are starting to get into the merchandise, no desire to see the movies yet. This is one happy mommy! I am a huge Star Wars fan, so I am thrilled to have lots to buy!

Unlike Frozen, Star Wars has a literal galaxy to pull from for character merchandising, as opposed to the 4-5 that Disney has to work with on the former. None of Disney's original core IPs even touch the breadth of possibilities.

There was so much marketing and merchandise when they released the prequels. Pizza hut boxes were star wars themed, soda, toys and items everywhere.

Does anyone have that remote controlled R2D2 toy from Toys R Us?
Thinking of getting it... $140.
