Hi guys, I have been MIA since Goofy, nursing a sore ankle but I am BACK now :goodvibes

So during the marathon I had the worse headache, I kept thinking I was going to get sick and I was dizzy, I figured I was dehydrated from the day before and drank up at most water stations but it didn't help. Anyway I finished :thumbsup2 and then I was sick for a good few weeks after goofy after getting so cold waiting for the bus after the 1/2.

So I did no exercise for about 2 weeks (other than a short jog to get rid of some lactic acid) then I had to take time off from running because of an injury but I still biked and swam. But each time I exercise the headache I got during the full comes back - I have tried changing up how I drink, drank more water, drank more poweraid, drank just water, drank just poweraid, yes gu, no gu. But I still get this headache where I feel like I might fall over. As soon as I stop exercising it goes away. I ran my first 10k since goofy today and it was just the same. I have never had this before and I would like to not have it anymore  does anyone else get headaches while they run?

My friend was telling me something about toxins from running marathon but I would have thought they would have gone away by now :confused3

Any insight would be great thanks

WISHing you a happy valentines day

Kirsty

Please! Please go see a doctor, we are not docs! I am concerned for your health! Please ask a doctor to run a stress test. Please see a Doctor!

do you normally get these or was that your first time. There is a syndrome called exertional headaches which are migraine type headaches associated with physical activiity. but they usually go away within a couple days of finishing the event. I would also goto a doctor to make sure everything is still good to go.

I just did a Google search for exercise headaches. The Mayo Clinic site listed 2 categories. One category is not too bad, but the second category said this could be an indicator for something serious. I'm not saying this to scare you, but to have you think that it may be time to get clearance from the medical community. If it is something for concern, it's best to get it looked at.

Let us know what you find out.

I hear abotu amny people gettign them after (me being one of them). During is not something I have heard of before (unless someone had a headache going in). I'm with teh others to get to your doc. :grouphug:

Iget headaches too while working out, along with the dizziness and feeling like I'm going to vomit. I just chalk it up to my high blood pressure?:confused3 I try to drink Gatoride and alot of water and slow my pace down.
