I noticed last night as I was realizing that I was getting down to single digits, that I had a hard time getting to sleep. If I'm having issues falling a sleep now because I am excited about my trip, what will it be like next Wednesday night when I know that the trip offically starts after work on Thursday.

Losing a little sleep each night is worth it when it has to do with going to WDW.

Tinkaroo,

Exactly. Each day it gets closer to me leaving I get more and more excited about it. It's weird, because I didn't think I could get anymore excited than I was when I finally knew that this trip was going to happen, but I am.

I'm having trouble sleeping NOW (and look at my date!) I have been having really weird dreams--I'm halfway there and I've forgotten all of our luggage......I'm trying to make CRT reservations, but I wake up at 7:30...forget that that would make me late for work, I was more concerned about that P.S. :rotfl:

I dont have trouble falling asleep, but I do notice that with about two weeks to go, I start to have dreams about wdw. Not the fun type either. I cant get to where i want to go, or I am late for a ps, or of course, the one where I am just wearing underwear. That for me is the best indicator that the trip is right around the corner.

Before I go on my trips to Disneyland and WDW, I can't sleep at all. I hate that I can't sleep the week before because that is always the week I have finals for college.

Same with me, I am already dreaming about the trip. I am a worrier, so I think about all the "what if's" and try to plan accordingly. The night before we leave, I probably won't get more than 4 hours of sleep, even though everything will be done.

I always had a VERY hard time sleeping the night before leaving, through the entire trip. :hyper: (Like a kid at Christmas too.)
And at WDW, I needed a GOOD night's rest even more than usual.
Finally I started taking melatonin at night while vacationing at WDW. Made a lot of positive difference! When in the parks all day and evening, I needed a GOOD night's rest!
:cool1:

A little less the week before our WDW trips just get to excited.Have a magical trip and loads of fun. :goodvibes :teeth: :flower: :cheer2: :wave2:

Yes, between the excitement and the worrying that I'll forget something (like our APs) I rarely get any sleep the last two weeks before our trip. I'm already dreaming about Disney almost every night and we have another four months to go!

I haven't been to WDW for 12 years. My husband has never been. He can't understand why I'm so excited. Had a hard time sleeping last week, but am sleeping much better with just three days to go. I think I wore my self out. Hope you all have a great time. :cheer2:

We will be leaving 1 week from tonight and I am trying to get some sleep because so far 2 (my youngest daughter and me) out of 5 of us are very sick with some sort of throat infection/flu thing. I am sure the 2 of us will be Ok by then but I am worried about when it will hit the others. We are doing everything we can to stay away from the others including not kissing my husband at all! Unfortunately this is the kind of illness that antibiotics does not help with and has to ride it's course. I'm just concerned about flying as right now we have a bit of an earache.

Besides this we are still trying to get last minute things done so by the time we actually get to bed we are exhausted.

Never mind, once we leave this cold Ontario climate into warm Florida sunshine we will be just fine!

Have a great trip!

I am still a little over 2 months out from our trip & I am ALREADY having trouble sleeping!

I have found I actually cannot think about us being in the parks, and seeing how excited my DS will be, before I go to bed. I have to actually force myself to stop thinking about it, about an hour before bed. Otherwise I am up all night! :rotfl2:

I do know the night before the trip I will not sleep. I will be way to excited. :Pinkbounc

DH usually gets a couple of hours the night before we go. But he is always amazed how I am up all night & then can go all day in the parks the next day. He said I get some "natural high" when I am in Disney World. It is so true! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

ugh the day BEFORE is the worst!!! all the built up anticipation... :earsboy: :earsgirl:

good times for all :flower:

I think that we are as bad as the kids. We are not going for another 2 mths and I still cant wait. Hope everyone has a very Disney time!! ::MickeyMo

When planning our trip, I lost tons of sleep especially during June and July and our trip wasn't until December!
As soon as my eyes would close I would start with lists in my head of what to look up, questions to ask, how to pack----I was a nut case  !!
The week before was the best sleep I got :confused3 :)

Yes but only because I am afraid of flying. and realise I will be on a plane soon.

Atleast I know I'm not alone now.

I think it's only going to get worse. I just realized that a week from today, I will need to have everything packed since I'm going to the hotel across from the airport right after work next Thursday since I have an early flight next Friday.

OHH...those nightmares start haunting me about a month prior to our vacation: we miss our flight; my parents and neighbors end up coming with us; I forget to pack clothes in the luggage...etc, etc, etc. princess: pirate: :earboy2:
