I know you shouldn't say what you would do in a situation unless you've been there. However, I KNOW that I would drop my man like a fly if he EVER laid one hand on me. I DO NOT put up with anyone's crap, certainly not someone who "loves me".

um well, if he hadn't of, he wouldn't be going to court dates.

And thats proof that thousands of girls/women across the nation are subjecting themselves to abuse from their boyfriends/husbands.

That infuriates me. All the teenage girls saying either "he didn't do it" or "it was her fault"... it's just disgusting.
And I think that Rihanna shouldn't have taken him back. Not only is it unhealthy to her, but girls are going to think, it's ok to take back my boyfriend if he hurts me, I deserved it, or he won't do it again.

Yeah, that is so wrong.
I have a friend whose boyfriend clearly is a bit 'rough' with her and she always has bruises on her body. Whenever we ask her, she says he tickled her. You don't get bruises from tickling. It is hard to bring that kind of a subject up with a friend though. Because if you think you 'love' someone you'd lie for them.

I'd like to think that if I was with someone that treated me like that, he'd be out the door, fast. But love can do weird things.

I used to think they same way, on how could a girl/women EVER take back a husband/boyfriend who has abused them in anyway. Ussually these men are good talkers though, and they are really good at controlling and manipulating somebody's mind. In no way shape or form am I saying its good that a women takes back and abusive husband/boyfriend, but the cycle of violence is extremly hard to break. Ussually the abuser can make up with the abusee and talk their way back into anything. They can even go as far and make it seem like it was the abusee's fault and they were being punished for it.

Abusive relationships are bad bad situations that are very hard to get out of. Even though these two are famous, their relationship is still an abusive relationship and it still goes through the same cycle, and it is still hard to break.

There was a girl in my COLLEGE class who was defending him. She was going on about how it's not fair the media is attacking him, people are speculating too much...she was trying to defend the position that the internet should have censorship. She was like there is no proof he did it! Well SOMEBODY did!!! She was an idiot.

Then I see people commenting on the celebrity sites that "I would have beat her up if she gave me herpes too"

while i dont think this girl is right about anything else, i do think people are speculating too much. this isnt something new; it happens all the time. why get all worked up about this particular case? but then again, ive always had that view when it comes to celebrities. just leave them alone.
