OK, we have 2 weeks to go from today!!! And I think I went a little overboard...I made a binder with all of our documents to take with us. I have pics:

Does anyone else do this? Am I the only crazy one? If anyone has done this have they found it to be too bulky to carry with them??

Been there, done that! I think it's a great idea! When my sister and I go she is super-organized and she makes a binder similar to yours. I appreciate having things in order.

I don't think you are too out there at all!!! They even sell books at Borders to do exactly what you just did. http://www.passporter.com/ See it is such a great idea that people actually make money off of being super orgainzed before heading out on their Disney trips.

Yes! Last 2 trips I had just a folder, but for our trip this coming Jan (and from now on) I'll have a binder. I've got my colorful divider tabs, menus, calendar of events, maps/directions, tour plans all organized and easy to find this time around!

BTW - Some of our friends were laughing and teasing us because I get our tour plans from a website and read my "WDW bible" before every trip, along with DISboards to keep up with everything (and find discounts on packages). Yeah---this year they all wanted my tour plans because we see and do WAY more than they do when they go. Who's laughing now?! I knew they would come crawling to me one day for WDW info... I got 'em right where I want 'em now! (evil laugh)

This has started happening to me, too!! I keep all the info in folders in a file cabinet and drag it all out when planning a trip. My neighbor decided to take her sons to WDW and, although she did borrow my UG and Passporter to make her plans, she didn't follow any of them!!! When she got home and I started asking her about her trip, she was surprised at what she had missed!
My brother in law goes most every year and so he thinks that he knows all there is but again, he was surprised at all that we did compared to what he did for the same amount of time!
They are all finding out that you don't mess with my planbook and you listen to the Disney Guru. What they don't know is that I get all my information here on the Dis!!!!

Not crazy at all. We still have about a month and a half to go and I've already put together our folder with tabs very similar to yours for the rental car company, the flight info, the info for the rental house and so on. I will be clutching that baby in my carry on bag all the way down there ready to whip out my papers! My d/f thinks we're way too overplanned because I have copies of all the important papers to put in our checked luggage just in case something happens to the others. Also I have to agree with the last post and say that the DIS has all the best and most up to date information. There is a guy here at work that goes to disney at least once a year and I thought he was the "guru" until I started researching on here. There so much info available on here that even he doesn't have a clue about. It's wonderful!

You are not nuts....you are a DIS'er! I have been making similar folders with laminated and spiral bound itineraries for years. It's just a great way to keep it all organized. I can't see doing it any other way! Nice job. Maggie

Well, everyday I am making my binder prettier and prettier. Today I printed out the map of POR/FQ to place in there. It also adds to the excitement of going (which by the way is in less than 2 weeks!!
