Whenever I go to Target (or Wal-mart on the very rare occasions that I go there) I walk in for one thing and walk out with so much more!

For example the other day I went to Target because I needed hangars and ended up with 2 bags of stuff! It's not junk just usually stuff that I forgot until I see it.

Oh all right, sometimes it is fun stuff  like the time I went in for trash bags and starch and came out with those items plus some cute Valentines tees they had just put out for kids. :teeth:

Yup, I can't leave a Wal-Mart without spending at least $80... it's the law!

Everytime I go to Target it happens! I have even tried only going with just cash, but I ended up finding an extra 20 in my coat. I think the force is with Target! :teeth:

My DH's qoute is "keep it under $100. That isn't easy.

I do it grocery shopping too. I go in for bannas, and come out with $50 of food. Now we eat all the food, but it seems I can't only buy the banannas I went in for.

When I was a kid, the best time to go to the store with my dad was when my mom sent him hungry. ;)

We just got back from Target and spent over $160 :faint: and that is without food.

We went for a bathing suit for DD12 for our trip in April, ended up getting her 2, one for her friend who is going with us, a book, a t-shirt for me, 2 movies, some little things for my DGD's :ssst: and DH got a weather band radio :confused3

All the time. The other day I was so proud of myself. I only got two things that weren't on my list---$3 slippers and $.50 mints. :thumbsup2

yes!! its a running joke in my town (we only have a super walmart) that you go for one thing, get everything in the store BUT that, then you have to go back. You'll see the same people at walmart two or three times a day. :rotfl:

Target had some really cute ones (at least for the 5t and under crowd.) I almost bought DD one but they didn' have the right size, I thought I would check the other target near us. After all it was only 8.99! You can never have enough bathing suits. :teeth:

I went in there today for the sole purpose of buying DH a new pair of jeans. I walked out of there $100 poorer, but I did score some stuff for myself so it's all good. :lmao:

Yesterday I was running in there to just get a C type light bulb that was 25 watts and ended up spending $32! And they did not even have the darn light bulb :rolleyes2

It happens everywhere. I work in the jewelry dept and it's fun sometimes to show someone just one more thing they might love. :teeth: Hey it's good for me and them. They walk out with handfulls of stuff and it's less I have to straighten up. ;) :teeth:

Unfortunatly DD12 wears women sizes, so it was 12.99 for each piece. You should have seen DH's face when she tried it on at home  He found it hard to believe his little girl was growing up. I guess the fun starts now.

I am going to Target tomorrow. It's impossible to resist those Valentine's Tees when they are only $5?! I love Target! I need to pick up Valentine's cards for my kids' classes and tees for my DD and Goddaughter. I'm sure I'll find other items to buy too. Does your Target have the $1 bin area? Never know what you'll find there! :teeth:

Oh, I do that all the time. What's really funny is sometimes I will go in for one thing and leave with several items but forget to get the one thing I went for.

I refuse to shop at a wallmart. Target, yep -- it's happened many times ... in fact too many times! You walk in knowing you need that one item and $100 bucks later... The same can be said for the grocery store. I walk in for milk, bread and eggs and I wind up with another $70 worth of chicken, mangos, pineapple (if it's ripe), etc.

Yes! We walk into Target for a new DVD or something. Well, we come out of the store with everything but that one DVD. It's crazy!

DH and I used to say Target had a $100 entry fee. ;) Now when we feel like doing recreational shopping, we hit yard sales. You can do a lot of recreational shopping for 5 or 10 bucks at yard sales!

I do this with Target all the time. Gotta love target clearance! "But honey look at all the money I saved you" :rotfl: I am really bad a Costco though. I will go to buy milk, and come out with $150 worth of stuff everytime :confused3 . Now that is some expensive milk!

I'm starting to think it would be very abnormal to not buy a bunch of other stuff when you go in for just one item! We're trying to curtail our spending right now because we may have an impromptu trip coming up (don't ask) so I'm staying far, far, far away from Target!
