Does anyone else cry at the parades or fireworks?

No, I cry too. I cry at the parade, at the castle, at illuminations.....I can cry when I hear certain Disney music and I'm just at home...I can get choked up just when I see Disney commercials.... I am a weenie. But I don't really cry all the time, it's just that WDW is my happy place.

This is me exactly.

I don't cry. However, DD knows if she wants to go she plays MSEP on itunes on a loop. Gets me every time.

The second those opening notes of Spectromagic started, I'd cry me a river! I guess that will never happen again :(

I have to admit, when I saw Hallowishes, I got a bit teary eyed...it's so welldone!!

Do I cry at Disney? YES!

Especially during Celebrate the Magic... and the Welcome Show... and FotLK... and the Kiss Goodnight... and meeting Mickey... and Wishes...

I've been tearing up just reading this thread!

I don't cry, but I definitely get choked up when seeing videos about WDW. And hearing classic songs...

And when I watched Wishes and the MSEP parade. I was tired and sleepy and felt like a dream? I cried a little. The tears just fell. I waited for so many years to be able to see it.

Maybe a little during Wishes.... Especially during the Christmas holidays.

Yes. I lost my dad, so I understand. I didn't go to Disney until I was 33 with my 3 yr old. I watched the movies, but I said I would NEVER go. Changed my mind with her! I cried at the parade dancing with her, I cried when she metMickey, I was in awe myself, I mean, he's a celebrity! I cried watching her and my mom have fun together since my dad died before she was born. I cried the whole time! She's my only, one and done single mom, so everything I see once and never again til I'm a grandma!

You are absolutely NOT the only adult who does not cry at WDW. I think these boards are skewed by people who have an unusually strong affinity for what Disney is selling. I think the vast majority of people would be unable to think of a single thing at WDW that could even conceivably cause them to cry.
exactly, the only time I cried was when my daughter was born and when my grandparents passed away. There is nothing in disney that will make me cry. Has anyone on here actually cried when taking a photo with a character. I saw that once with a husband and wife taking a pic with Mickey. A little boy behind us asked his parents why they were crying and the father said because they are a little crazy.

^ THIS! I cry at many things at Disney, and it seems to get worse as I get older. Seeing my step-kids' face light up gets me the most now.

BUT...I am a crier. I cry at least once a day. 99.9% of the time it isn't because I am sad. It is because something touches me and makes be feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I cry at Wishes, I cry when watching Disney movies at home, I cry minimum 3 times a day at both Disney related things and non-Disney related things. I would cry at a Campbell's soup commercial. Lol. I'm a bit of an emotional person, obviously. You are not alone!

I cry when I see the fireworks over the castle before the start of Disney movies.

I am so lame.

I don't cry but I do get misty during Wishes...more for the fact that I wish my sister and I could experience it together and that it is highly unlikely that will ever happen.

I got choked up the first time I saw illuminations. I think tears at Disney are entirely socially acceptable, and in fact, darn it, a disney trip, done right, should have some. Given your situation, I'd be shocked if you didn't cry. After my mom died, I'd cry at Target for god's sake (yes we had really exciting lives, so the target run was right up there! :) ). Enjoy all the memories it will bring up. You're lucky to have had parents that left such a hole in your heart when you lost them.

Constantly! I've been lucky enough to have gone around 7 or 8 times as a kid up until High School. I always teared up a little during Wishes. Last year was the first time I went as an adult with my boyfriend and I was crying literally from Celebrate the Magic to the end of Wishes! I know its going to be the same this trip especially since I know its going to be the last year I get to go in a while. It just makes me so happy I can't help but cry.

No, but the dust and smoke gets me choked up a bit and my eyes watering. That's all it is. really.
