David Copperfield is in town this Saturday. When I bought my tickets I had to choose between a 6:00 show or a 9:00 show. I wanted the show that I could get the best seats to, and that just happened to be the 6:00 show. That means we'll either have to eat before the show or after the show. The place I want to go stops seating at 9 and the show is 2 hours. By the time we got out of there I'm not sure we could make it to the restaurant by 9. It just seems weird going out for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at lunch time. Does anyone else here go out for lunch on Valentine's Day???

Actually, yes, I have. If it falls on a week day, which is most of the time, DH and I sneak away while the kiddies are at school. :teeth: That way we can have a nice time together as a family, in the evening. I've never really thought aboout doing it on a weekend though. But hey, why not?

Keep the Faith!

i don't mind doing v-day lunch...the restaurants are way too crowded at night. and a crowded restaurant does not equal romantic to me...

we generally tend to stick close to home for v-day. we'll get stuff to make a special dinner and then just enjoy each other's company...

No, but think of what a trend setter you'll be;) . Actually DH have gone out to lunch on several occasions. Sometimes we both take a day off when DD is in pre-k and enjoy time together. It's easier and cheaper than a babysitter. If you pick someplace romantic it probably won't be crowded at all so you'll get a nice table and good service.

We are doing Valentine's Day Lunch this year to avoid the crowd. Then we're going to a movie while everyone is at dinner! :p

yep we did last year b/c i had to travel v-day evening. :)

Yes, we have. Alternately, since we started dating just a few days after Vday, we will wait and go out that night instead. Just as special to us! (Then on Vday we either have a lunch out, or get something we really like and have it at home.)
