Does anyone actually LIKE fastpass +

I haven't used it yet... but right now I'm not very optimistic.

We are rope drop, FP super users and it wasn't pretty common to pull AT LEAST 8 FPs a day. That combined with standby meant we were able to ride everything we want LOTS of times. (We're talking Splash and Space 7 or 8 times!)

This new system just isn't compatable with that, and there's absolutely no way that this won't be a major downgrade on our touring style. "one FP per ride" is a completely foreign concept to me, and I'm not very happy about it.

We go in May, and I've spent lots of time trying to come up with a strategy that at least somewhat resembles the experience we're used to. But I've already warned my BF that this year is gonna be different...

I've been doing a lot of research into DLR, where they haven't instituted any of this malarky.

I love FP+. As a local here in Florida five minutes from the park, we use them at LEAST once per week. We get to just walk on the rides we want.

So much hate for the new MyMagic+ system it seems, but our family thinks it's a great change for the better and we love it.

We also sent an email telling Disney that we love FP+.

Used it and liked it.

My favorite part is changing the FP+ times while at the park. I got caught up with Sorcerer's game at MK, and didn't want to stop. Usually got the new time I wanted.

We have been to WDW 3x now using FP+ and love it. Hubby hated the running back and forth across the park associated with FP- so we rarely pulled FP. The new system works much better for us

Also since many of our trips are for runDisney events rope drop was rarely even an option for us, making FP for TSM and Soarin nearly impossible to get

I don't dislike the IDEA of it. Having one's FPs on a wrist band is an idea I can get behind...even with Big Brother watching.

It's the implementation that's been awful with the piece of garbage that is My Disney Experience taking the cake for worst Disney roll-out ever. The website is embarrassing. The tiering is stupid and not useful at all. The pre-booking FPs is a little stupid but I think I could get used to it. The limit of 3 is annoying, but only if you don't get up to do rope drop. I think with some tweaking that part could work.

The long and short of it is that it wasn't tested anywhere NEAR enough...and as others pointed out, in many ways this is a serious FP downgrade. But if you scrape away the incompetence and idiotic current rules, there is potential there...buried deep DEEP down.... :)

Just got back from 5 days visiting all the parks and I have to say I LOVED FP+ as a resort guest is was so easy to add change and everything on the my Disney exp app but I do have to say that we met up with some nonresort guests and not sure I would have been as big of a fan if I had to do it that way, our plans changed so much throughout each day the app was perfect to get on and adjust the times or if we say a real short line I could go right on and change it do a different ride. And even with just being able to have 3 per day we were still able to ride everything we wanted to.

We haven't used it yet...but I think it is really going to favor our touring style right now. We are PAP holders, DVC, and I have little ones so we typically do RD to lunch, long break, then hop to a different park at night. It is a little more upfront work on my part to plan and the website is cumbersome, but I think it will work well for us.

1. Since we RD, we can ride a lot of stuff standby in the AM that we never were able to before because of racing around for FP for the headliners
2. We don't have to be criss crossing the parks as much to gather/use fast passes
3. I will be less hot/sweaty/tired :cool1: (I was usually the runner)
4. We love the waterparks and my DH/DS love Disney Quest and will be able to go more because we don't have to worry about being at parks first thing to get FP
5. We can ride standby in morning and then book our FP+ for evenings at same or different park, depending on our plans that day
6. More opportunities to FP characters (saves me money from paying for expensive character meals)
7. We can get around the tiering and basically double our FP+ because we have to do child swap
8. On our arrival and departure day, we can still get in at least 3 headline attractions even though we have a fairly short time in the parks

I am sure there will be things I don't like once on our trip. I am sure there are still kinks to work out. And honestly I was not happy about the changes at first. But now that I calmed down a bit and really looked at it, I think there are a lot of benefits to the system for my family.

I've read so many bad things about how people hate fastpass plus and heard some bad reviews from friends here locally. It's really making me reconsider our October trip. Does anyone actually have anything good to say about it?
I liked it when I went last October, of course it wasn't fully implemented yet, there wasn't tiering, and I could still get FP-! However, we only got FP- and used it once and the only reason we even did that was to ride at the same time as my sister. I don't think it will affect my October trip because it works for the way we tour the park. We are rope droppers, we were not commando FP- people (we used 3-5 before), and we stay onsite so we get to schedule them 60 days out!
I really think you'll have to think about how you tour the park. Do you rope drop? Are you staying onsite? How many days do you have? Etc.
I really like it for us... But I can see the negative downside for others... Especially those staying offsite... I can honestly say I would not want to use/deal with the kiosks!
I hope you still go in October!!! It's my favorite time of year to go!

I posted a "FP+ is terrible" thread, but there are definitely advantages. If you are planning a leisurely day at a park and do not want to show up early, it's awesome. This is most users, so I think most people will be OK with it.

It also worked well at MK, because there's no tiering there. (Still have to make hard choices, but it's fine, and if they changed it to 4 or 5 FP, it would be perfect).

We happened to visit when they were in the middle of transition, and it worsened our experience significantly. Once they work out the bugs and everyone can reserve FP+ in advance, it will be fine, but it WILL require people to micromanage their vacation 60 days in advance (day 1 we go to MK with Space at 10am, Crystal Palace at 12pm, and Splash at 2pm, day 2 we go to Epcot .... etc.).

Bottom line is that it converts seeing the park into a 2 day experience, which will in fact be more enjoyable to most people (just more expensive and require more vacation time). In the past, we'd travel with friends for 4 days and they saw 90% of all 4 parks. It also makes extra magic hours much more valuable, particularly the morning ones, so staying on resort is more attractive.

Love Love Love it! And also the great technology, which by its very design is/will allow Disney to change it as it grows!

Technology is only good if it works in the margins. During this "test" period the system is down way too much. If your Disney transportation arrives late and you miss your connections. Trying to use a system that generates the following message: "Were Sorry, We are having some difficulty retrieving your FastPass+ please try again later," isn't going to help you at all. I suggest driving more while the system is in its infancy. When it works, the system is about 95% of what it was for the commando-style-tourist.

we liked it a lot when we went in october but that was before tiering so we havent 100% used it in its form now. but based on how its tiered, it wouldnt effect us much if at all. Where it does, we would just adapt. Not planning to reschedule any trips and working on scheduling more.

I hate it on many levels, but for our upcoming trip, I've found it very useful on a couple of days when we're not getting to the parks (EP and AK) until the afternoon. In those situations it's nice to pre-book afternoon/evening FPs and know you don't have to worry about FP- running out for, say, Soarin. So it's helpful in those situations, even though the other issues we've discussed ad nauseam make it a downgrade overall for our family.

It was helpful for us on our "rest" days where we didn't necessarily plan on being in the parks. Book the 3 and get in and out in less than 90 minutes. :)

Otherwise, it's a huge downgrade for us as well.

"FP+......... It will make your rest days more restful."

Nope. Not working. Still looking for the right slogan, but that's not doing it for me. ;)

From the threads I've read, most people who have used it liked it. Most people who have not used it don't like it.

I sort of like it just don't like these "crowds" that have popped up along with it. I also don't like the limited amount of fast passes I can get. We should be allowed 4 per day.

This exemplifies my problem with the system. FP- was equal for all guests. FP+ is not. It is difficult for me to warm up to a system that charges people the same amount of money yet provides them entirely different experiences. If and when they get back to equality, I will have a more positive outlook.

Also, look at how many positive replies mention or end by saying: "But I'd like to see the limit of 3 raised and no tiering." Interesting.
Q: What do you call FP+ with more FPs and no tiering?
A: FP-

I don't mind the concept, and don't mind the technology though it is clearly not ready for prime time. But what I do not like are the unintended consequences which should have been anticipated by experienced people. Those include the greater need for early park arrival (as opposed to more relaxed arrival times which I think is what they were shooting for); longer Standby lines caused by adding many more FP eligible rides; and the horrid FP+ return lines that are 15+ minutes long and form outside of the attraction queue areas spilling into the park. This last problem is fixable. The second problem is fixable if they eliminate FP eligibility on rides that don't need it. The first problem will remain as long as tiers remain. Want to ride Soarin' and Test Track on the same day without a huge wait? Better arrive at RD. This seems to defeat one of the main purposes of FP+.

We really liked it. It fits our touring style. We are not rope drop people.
I do with that you had more than 3 fastpass though. I also don't like the tiering.
