a brochure which shows last December (2008) prices?

I would be interested in what the cost was for one night stay in DLH on the last Saturday in November. I want to know the cost for 2 adults, and also for 3 adults and also if there were 4 adults in one room.

I know prices this year will be different but it would give me a ballpark figure and I would know if what I am (tentatively) planning is definitely out of the question.

:goodvibes :) Hiya, I wanted to look at last years prices as well. I downloaded the e-brochure from the main Disney site as they still have it available there as it runs to 3rd April.

Any problems with the site (I know it freezes on some people) let me know & I'll happily look it up for you.:goodvibes

Hiya

I've got the pages from the e-brochure, which I'm sure are the same as the brochure they send out.

All the Fridays/Saturdays in November 08 fall into the 'purple' section, according to the prices the colour codes are yellow/orange - cheapest, green, purple and then blue most expensive - so purple 2nd most expensive, rest of November is green.

2 days/1 night with own transport is £266 for 2 adults with additional adults £77 each - standard room
£373 for Castle Club with addition adults £77 again
Sunday to Thursdays - standard room - £235 plus £77, Castle Club - £323 plus £77

Oddly I also have the 2007 brochure so here's the prices for comparison!!

Nov 2007 to 6th Nov 08 only had 3 pricing bands, green - cheapest, purple and blue.

Nov 07 weekdays and Sundays green with Fri and Sat's purple
Saturdays - 2days / 1night - 2 adults £243, additional adults £73 - standard room, Castle Club - £331 plus £73.
Sunday to Thursdays - standard room - £217 plus £73 and Castle Club - £291 plus £73.

Hope that all makes sense!

Suze

Oooooh thank you. I didn't think of looking online.

Hmmmmmm - prices not as bad as I feared. It could actually be doable. :scratchin Stupid, ridiculous, expensive.........but doable. :scratchin

We....ell, maybe. I certainly won't be doing the near-Christmas trip again this year. Apart from the cost, it is just too hectic too close to Christmas(for me getting Christmas ready, I mean). Then I read a trip report where somebody just went overnight on Eurostar and thought......that may work. I imagined Dtr and I going on a Saturday, staying perhaps at the Kyriad or maybe Santa Fe and coming back on the Sunday.

Then I was chatting to my sister - as you know she has had a horrid start to the year, been in hospital for a month, had major surgery and won't be back in work for 2-3 months. She will be 50 in November and I will.......also have a birthday in November, so she said she might be interested in coming - but only if we stayed at DLH! It could be a joint birthday celebration. So it is all what-ifs at the moment.

I know it will be busy on the last weekend in November, but I have been the last weekend before Christmas for the last 2 years, 20th to 23rd December and surely it can't be busier than that! I think with careful planning we could see quite a bit in those 2 days.

I feel a bit

and also very :sad1:

I was thinking the £266 was the price for 2 adults, plus £77 for the third adult in the room. TOTAL = £343 for 3 of us in the room.

But I've now realised it is £266 PER adult plus £77, TOTAL = £609 for 3 us of for one night.

I only paid £900 something for a 3 night stay, so can't imagine how it could be over £600 for one night. Can't see this happening now. :sad1:

Opps.....sorry I should have put per adult! I just read it quickly and it didn't really register it was per adult......my excuse is I've got a stinking cold and not thinking straight:sick:

Just a thought but what about doing it in September to take advantage of the 40% off offer? I know it's not your sisters 50th or your birthday until November but you could get a 3 day 2 night package at DLH in September for around the same price as 2 days 1 night in November.

Thank you for thinking of that - I have spent today feeling guilty for feeling sad. After all, I am going twice more between now and November and I was left feeling like a grumpy toddler last night when I realised it would be so expensive. I should be ashamed of myself.:guilty:

Now things have just got interesting! Sister number 2 has indicated that she would be interested in coming along. I never asked her as I know Disney is not her thing, but she said (for an overnight trip) she would like to go for the fun of a girls trip. She wouldn't mind staying in a cheaper hotel as well. Ooooh decisions decisions. All I need now is the final sister (yes there are 4 of us!) to say she would come and then Dtr may find herself left behind. :scared1:
