I'm thinking of planning a last minute trip to DL and noticed the room rates jump on that day...
Thanks for any info!

It may just be the week after many schools (especially quarter-calendar colleges) get out.

Yes, it marks the beginning of busy summer season.

June 15th is when the shows and fireworks start running every night, rather than just on weekends. But if you look at the old calendars from last year, they actually start around the 11th or 12th with full schedule--so right around the middle month.

And if it is a Friday or the weekend, that can be an additional reason for the increase as well. I have noticed that some properties will increase their rates during that time frame, while others do not, or might not. It is interesting.
Have an awesome time visiting Dl ! :)

When I booked a few weeks ago, the week of June 15-20th was the last cheap week. I was able to book an average of 120 a night for PPH the week of June 15-20th with the promo.

WOW! That's a great rate, especially if you are not an AP holder. That's pretty much in line with the AP rate! My trip is very last minute for us. Normally I try to book several months in advance, but with the economy I wasn't sure if I wanted to go. I still may change my mind because I'm worried about the heat (I normally go in December or January, but since I have an AP I'm trying to justify going...:rolleyes1) and the room rates at the motels are coming back for $100+ per night. Some across the street are already well over $135/night. Heck no. So, I'm debating....

Wow. I just realized I did book the worst possible time.

We're going to be there the week after that, and not only is that the second week of peak, we're also going to be flying in Father's Day!

I booked on Expedia---It was buy 3 days get two free...you may want to see if that's still the rate! I was happy with it!

I just looked, the offer is still there for June 15-20th. It says 200 a night for the first three nights, and the last 2 nights for free, which averages 120 a night. Hope someone else can take advantage.

DisneyS F,

What dates do you need? For I have done a little research, and have come up with a rate of 115.33 for two nights, not far from Dl.
