We all loved our meal at Hollywood and Vine during our last visit. It was the dinner buffet. Most of the reports I read are from those who do not like it. I know it is obviously personal taste, but I am curious as to why you like it or don't like it???:dance3:

my family went and we all liked it.....it was alot of choices for the different styles of food and eating.......my vegetarian son in law ate well.......so did my elderly mother in law.......so did the kiddos.......so did US......so all different types of food and we were happy

Our party of ten also really enjoyed their food. As a matter of fact, my kids liked the food here better than Ohana! The service was excellent & the variety was very good.
It makes me wonder if I shouldn't take other peoples' dining reviews too seriously. All the negative posts about Hollywood and Vine made me almost cancel. I am glad I didn't!

Nope didn't like it at all. We went for the lunch buffet with the character's.. uh I dont think I ate anything most of the stuff looked like it had been sitting out for a few hours. Most of the "cold cuts" were gone what was there looked oily from being out for so long, the kids had a blast with the dancing and stuff... they want to go back. I want to skip it next time! maybe its only lunch that is bad?? I'd have to say this and Coral Reef REALLY disappointed us!

I so agree with this! We find so many posts with the exact opposite view to our one on restaurants that we feel we need to stick to our guns and try the ones we think we will like. We are going back to Hollywood and Vine in December!!! Can't wait.:santa:

We haven't been in a couple years but we really did not care for it much. That being said.... we could go again and possibly like it. I can't say there was anything I could really put my finger on other than some of the other buffets had things I liked on them more.

We love the breakfast with Characters. If you have kids under 5 you really should go. I have never been to a meal with that much interaction. June (LE) sat down and did a maze with me the 9 yr old! And they danced every 15 minutes!
We all liked the food too. Even my hard to feed father.

We also went with a group of 10 for dinner and everyone enjoyed it. Is it top notch, gourmet food? No. But there was plenty to choice from and it was good.
Most in our party enjoyed it much better than 50s Primetime which seemed so heavy and very few veggies unless you wanted to order a full salad as an appetizer. I liked HV because you can get a well rounded meal.

Yes we do.

We have eaten there about four times, and enjoyed everyone of those visits. I believe that we ate there twice before the Playhouse Disney charaters came on board, and twice with them in attendance. I love the corn bread thing that they serve.

:rolleyes1

went to dinner there with niece and nephew (both 7) and we all really liked the meal. Is it the best food I've had at disney... no, but we all found something that we enjoyed and ate our fill.

We had breakfast there, it one was of the top 2 breakfasts for me...

My family and I love Hollywood and Vine. It's one of our musts for every visit.

It's really bad! Don't go on Monday Dec. 10th around 6p.m. :lmao: :rotfl:
Actually, we are going for the first time. I thought I could possibly make it less crowded for an hour :)

We ate there for dinner last year and didn't like it too much....but we eat there this year for the Playhouse Disney lunch and we really liked it a lot! :thumbsup2

I am responding becuase you asked why we liked or didn'nt like. We went three times: the first time it was average; the last two times it was terrible. Now, we could have just hit a bad night or something, but the bathrooms were filthy, the service terrible (and it was not that crowded the third time); the food was luke warm (if that) and they often ran out of items and took forever to replenish. Like I said, it could be that we just hit it on two unexpected bad nights. We also hated Brown Derby and Boatwrights and most people praise it. That is why I always tell people it is a personal preference and that it if interests them, they should try it themselves at least once.
