Does anybody but me like to dress up at WDW?

Oh yes, me too. My DH can't stand that I take outfits for the daytime and outfits for nightime and like 6 pairs of shoes. I like to look good!!!

I just wear business casual in the parks (sorry, no shorts on this body!) and take a couple of things that can go from casual to dressy with a little (very little!) jewelry. I always have one pair of comfortable, but slightly dressier sandals that I can wear in a pinch if I need to look "dressed".

Hair and makeup aren't a primary concern in the parks in the summer. Makeup runs off and my hair kinks, curls and frizzes, so it's in a ponytail or French braid most of the time. I do try to dry it when I wash it, though. I'm afraid that moss will grow in it in the Orlando humidity if I don't! :)

When dining in the parks (except Bistro) we generally wear casual clothes, although we usually shower and change in the late afternoon before returning to a park for dinner. When dining at most resort restaurants, we dress up some. I dress for those like I would going to a comparable place back home. A casual dress or slacks and a blouse. And yes, often heels with them when that is what I'd wear with it at home. My feet seldom hurt at WDW.

I prefer tailored casual wear for the parks.

And I wear makeup both day and night at WDW.

I love to dress up like a pirate and run around the park playing with my little cousins..thats the best kind of dressing up! ::yes::

Jungle Josh

I see quite a few guests walking through our lobby every night dressed to the nines....it makes them stand out more, but that's the fun of it I think! A lot of people will stop and look, but hey...it makes you look fabulous! :) :) :) :) :)

I am guilty! I like to dress up at WDW. I like how my pictures look when I get home if I try to look nice. I don't dress to the nines, but you may catch me in a pair of heels or a sundress, skirt or nice pair of pants. I wear shorts or capri pants during the day, but I still try to make them look nice. My family has always dressed nicely for our WDW vacations, even going to the extent of buying nice new outfits! We always figure that the people there work extra-hard to keep it looking nice for us, we should look nice, too. It just adds to the fun and the feeling that you are in a special place.

I'm really glad we're not alone -- and that you know what I mean. We like makeup and nice sun dresses -- We're not wearing evening gowns and tiaras......oops, I guess we do wear tiaras sometimes! . I have a Cinderella one and DD has a Tink one.

Jungle Skipper, if I thought I could get away with it, I would dress like a pirate, too. What is it about pirates that is so cool!!!?

Whenever I see someone "dressed up" I think they must work there (managers, customer relations, etc)... so I guess you can say it looks out of place when their riding a ride and what not... in a restraunt I don't see a problem with it. I would just think you would be uncomfortable in this heat, etc. And your feet have to hurt... can't wear sneakers with a nice dress, etc.
We pack clothes to change into before a nice dinner, as well as for our godkids. Hair detangler, brushes, body spray, etc.

When we took DM with us in the summer of 2002, we had alot of fun shopping for the trip. We bought several matching mother-daughter outfits and even wore matching floral dresses for the lua at the Poly.:D

With my colder weather Dockers or warmer weather shorts (most often Dockers too), and almost always button downs, short or long sleeve, I often am told I am ALWAYS dressed up at WDW, LOL.

Plaid! I even have had dreams about Dan at WDW in plaid shirts! I don't think I even saw his face--just the tall man in a plaid shirt and knew it was him!
Not over dressed though, Dan. You look very nice touring the parks. I can't imagine you dressed in something like a tee-shirt.

No dressing up for me. No heels. Not even in TN. I don't think twice about seeing someone dressed up at night going to dinner but I will do a  (badshoes always pops into my head) whe I see someone walking around the park in heels during the day.

For us it's casual (but neat) all the time.
Too easy to dress up at home--wouldn't think of doing it while on a vacation in Florida.

I have to dress up every day for work, so on vacation it is strictly casual!!

Unless we are returning to a park in the evening, we always dress for dinner while on vacation. It's turns every dinner into a festive occasion - and we look fabulous! Our 9 year-old DD adores it also because it makes her feel special.

Why not dress up for your own family? I care a lot more about looking gorgeous for my DH and DD than my boss. Plus, it gives us a great excuse to go shopping for wonderful clothes before each trip!
