does any car rental place take cash only?

I just booked a car with Alamo, and they have a blurb about what you need to bring with you if you are paying cash.

Sorry, I didn't read the whole thing, since we use a credit card, but I noticed it since it stood out.

I have paid it off in cash on return, and used a credit card on pick up. But, you are losing the credit card Inurance if something is found wrong with the car after the "quickie" inspection. This might be an option, if you just wanted to pay it off before leaving florida? This was with National I just went to the counter with my receipt.
