Does all day dining sell out in summer?

Do I really need to purchase this ahead or will we be okay if we get it the day we go in July? It looks like if I purchase ahead I must specify for which date and I'm not sure we'll know until we start our vacation.

We buy ours in the park. I don't even know if there is a sell out number. Lines waiting to get to pick up the drink or food can be longer in the summer. You are not supposed to cut in line to order, but usually if just getting a drink or snack you can pick up the drink or food and then walk around the people waiting for the CMs to serve them the entre. Then you do have to wait in line for the cashier behind people who are paying for their food.

I know when went Labor DAy weekend I was able to buy the all day meal plan when I enter the park.

Everytime we have been - we have purchased the dining plan as we entered the park.....I have never seen them sell out....however, they do stop serving 30 minutes before park closing.
