Does Alamo have Quick Check In?

Does Alamo at MCO have any type of quick check in, like Emerald Aisle, where you bypass the rental counter and just go get in your car?

You can sign up for Quick Silver. You bypass the counter in the terminal and go to the kiosk where they keep the cars. They tell you what aisle to choose your car from. Just used it last week. Worked great.

I would not use Alamo at MCO without QS. The last time we rented, Jan. '04, I had the car before my wife could get our luggage. The woman taking the car next to mine in the parkade spent more than 1 hour in line.

Alamo now has online check-in, which lets you bypass the counter altogether, but only if you don't use a coupon. You can go straight to your car.

Just go to the main Alamo website and look for the blue banner, about half-way down the page, for online check-in.

Another thumbs up for Quick Silver Program. With this program, you can bypass the counter and use coupons.
Although you bypass the counter in the terminal, you do have to stop at the Quick Silver booth in the garage, right where the Alamo vehicles are located.
This took all of 5 minutes, and we were on our way.

The online check-in is a nice option, but coupons can't be used, which is unfortunate, as Alamo's got some pretty good coupons out there.

I believe it is, but when I joined, I just made my own company up. I took my web domain name, which isn't yet a commercial site and may never be, put that down as my company, used my cell phone # as my business number and that was that. There are millions of individuals who are incorporated as 'companies', programmers, consultants and free-lancers of all types. I joined their ranks and joined QS.

When I spoke with someone at Alamo about QS, she told me I still had to go to the counter, but there would be a separate line for QS.

Are you saying I don't have to stop at the main counter but just go straight to the garage to their little booth out there, and I can use a coupon?

There was a separate line in the main terminal, right next to the 'regular' line, for QS a few years back. The last time I used Alamo, Jan. 2005, the line was gone and I was directed to the booth in the parking lot where I got my car in less than 5 mins. Unless they've switched back, that's where to go. You can always just approach the regular line and if you don't see a QS sign, call out to the agent about the whereabouts of QS, that's what I did in '05.

I just used Alamo with the Wal-Mart customer code AND an online coupon, I saved over $100 dollars for a brand new Cadillac DTS, $220 total for me AND my wife as drivers for the week.
I made a regular reservation online, NO QS, NO Credit Cards, went to the reservation desk when we arrived, hand the reservation confirm and our drivers licenses to the service agent, walked over to the parking lot, picked the car I wanted and drove away. NO questions asked, NO cards asked for, NO problems, all said and done it took about 1/2 hour.

Hi,
Our first QS experience was last October. (very smooth, btw)
After getting our luggage, we proceeded directly to the parking garage (2nd. floor), to the QS booth - No stop at the terminal counter.

Hopefully this hasn't changed since then...
