Does a Resort tweak to add a discount affect FP+?

We have our days booked. The discounts just were not there. However, we will be getting an AP so that would be a possibility. When I checked they only had bunk rooms. I want to keep checking.

My question....IF I find a AP discount and we do that instead, will this generated a different confirmation number number and would that affect my already secured fast passes? Thank you!

No, it will not affect your FP+ reservations.

Your already secured FP is tied to your theme park tickets so if tickets go away, your FPs will too. If you're replacing them with AP, you might want to have Disney's tech support transfer the FP to the AP before removing your regular tickets.
