We are staying at the CBR in October :yay: . We paid in full when we booked a month ago, I received what I would call an itinerary yesterday. My dumb question is what is a DME? I have seen this used in other posts about documents, I looked at the abbreviation guide on the board but does not have DME. Is this itinerary I got the DME? From other posts I have read, more travel documents will come after this first document, about a week after. Is this right? My itinerary I received yesterday says I have a 'photo pass'. What is this?

We are renting a car. Usually we just use Disney transport but this time I want to go to Universal and visit some equestrian spots. Am I correct in that if you stay at a resort, parking at the parks is free? What about parking at other resorts. IE: I love the Poly. We will be having dinner there, probably some drinks at the Luau, hang out on the beach. Since the poly is a bit out of my budget, we cannot stay there. Can I park at this resort, but leave the car and take a bus back to the CBR if we had some drinks? Then come get the car the next day.:goodvibes

I'll try and answer some of your questions.

DME is Disney's Magical Express, a free bus transport to/from Orlando Airport. Since you're renting a car this won't be necessary.

I'm not sure what the Photopass perk is with your package, but I can tell you that Photopass is a photography service Disney offers its guests. Disney has Photopass photographers around all the parks. They will take your photo and give you a Photopass (like a credit card) everytime you get your photo taken by a photog, give them your photopass card and they will add it. You can view your photos while still at Disney or when you return home at www.Disneyphotopass.com. Disney offers a Photopass CD for around $109.00 and can hold many, many photos.

Your package documents won't come until around 30 days prior to your arrival.

Parking is free at the resorts and at all the theme parks if you are staying onsite. However, if you want to dine at a deluxe resort, i.e. Poly, Contemporary, Disney will only give you a 3-hour parking pass. So leaving your car there overnight is not an option. You can always take a cab or Disney transportation. BTW, there are not buses resort to resort. You would need to get transportation from the resort to a park then to your resort. If you're looking for a later bus, then take the one to Pleasure Island. These will usually run until about 2-3 am.

Since you are renting a car the Disney Magical Express is a mute point. DME is free transportation to and from the airport. DME provides tags for your luggage so they to go directly to the resort and be delivered straight to your room. You call to sign up for DME and then receive your tags shortly before your trip.

Parking is free. They give you a permit to put in your dashboard. You can park for free at other resorts for up to 3 hours. Parking at theme parks is free.

Photo pass is a card you can get from any Photo Pass photographer as well as attraction photo locations. You just hold this card and give it to any PP photographer when you want a "professional" picture taken. You will see these photographers at many character locations or at prime photo op locations. When you get home, you look up your specific photo pass id and you can look at all these "professional" photos and order the ones you like online. I think you can even get a CD.

Thanks for info! Had no idea about the 3 hour deal at the deluxe resorts. Looks like will be taking some bus routes!
