Hi all! Going on my first Disney Cruise aboard the Fantasy in September, doing the 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise, very excited! Need some advice from anyone who might know...I am a Canadian citizen for now, and have a Canadian passport. I am married to an American citizen and am a legal US resident that lives in Florida (been here over a year), have a green card, but can't get a US passport until next year sometime. What documentation will I need to board the ship and to pass customs to re-enter the US when we return? All the ID is in my married name, so it will all match. Just not sure what I need to bring and don't want to have any issues. I know to cross into Canada I need my passport and my green card, and to cross into the US from Canada I only need my green card, but I have no idea how a port entry works. Do I need my Canadian passport or just my green card? I know I could call Disney directly, but sometimes you get different answers from different cast members, and I just wanted to know if anyone has already done this in the same circumstance that I'm in. If not, and you're just Canadian, did the passport suffice?

Since you will be traveling internationally, you'll need your passport, so bring both.

We always show our Canadian passports and green cards. Super simple and easy.
This was the case as recently as December 27th.

Please contact the US passport office. Write them and keep a copy of the letter. You need official information and not someone's opinion.

If you live in the us as a permanent resident and you are doing a Caribbean cruise you only need your green card. If you do not have it they will not let you on the ship. Period.

Please don't. The US Passport Office issues passports to US citizens. They would have no idea what foreign governments along the cruise route would require of a Canadian citizen, what DCL's policy was, or what the US Customs and Border Protection's requirements are for re-admittance of a Canadian citizen / US permanent resident back into the US are.
