Doctor Who

speaking of which... wouldn't it be great to have an AMERICAN doctor when he does die? hmm... hmm

I think having an American doctor would ruin a british show. lol.
It was be strange to have a doctor that didn't have a british accent.

But, that reminds me that Fox is developing an American Torchwood. Russell Davies and Julie Gardner are helping, but I'm very worried aaout it.
I have a bad feeling it's not going to be very good.
Then again The Office was an original british show and now it's in america and I love it.
But I will just wait and see.

There'd be a lot of criticism if that happened. Also probably never gonna happen because it's a British show. I'd rather a black or female Doctor to be next.

I also think that actor whould be me... but not like that will hapen haha

Unless you can put on a convincing British accent, or the USA makes an American Doctor Who, then no...

American Torchwood? Must look this up... I heard the American version of Life on Mars was awful, and ABC didn't finish airing the show. Is that right?

I didn't hear anything about Life on Mars. I've seen commercials but I'm not sure if it was for the American version or if I saw the commercials on BBCA.

If it was set in England, and had John Simm in it, then it's the UK one.

Russel T. Davies is the one who wrote the script, so at least it's not a different writer. Would Jack appear in the show, and if so, how will Fox handle his character being omnisexual...

I'm not sure.

I read that Jack might appear in the pilot episode, probably just to establish the torchwood in america, so they'll probably just not mention it or do anything with it.

I think that would sort of work....
I mean, in Torchwood, they said there was ones all over the U.K., the one in London went in Doctor Who, one is Cardiff (gone now :sad1: ) and one 'wierd' one in Scotland.
I think they would be able to cover the story far enough because in the end of Torchwood: Children of Earth, he ran away and he could come across one in U.S.A.

I just hope Doctor Who doesn't become an American show, because it's what has brought us Brits, and others over the world, together for over 40 years :goodvibes

I'm very angry because I keep forgetting that Doctor Who is on at 6 on BBCAmerica on Saturdays.
I keep missing it.

I wish it was Spring too.

Have any of you seen, well heard, the new Nintendo Wii advert?! The voice over man is David Tennant! :thumbsup2

Also, David has already started filming Rex Is Not Your Lawyer. I think its an American programme, but has anyone seen it? Is it good? I might catch it on Youtube if its not on T.V.

I have no seen Rex Is Not Your Lawyer advertised yet, I want to see it though.

It made me laugh.

Unfortunate + Hopeful news for the program:
It was reported on January 24, 2010 that the sets had been dismantled and stored, and that the show had not been picked up for spring 2010, but was still under consideration for fall 2010.

Hopefully they'll pick it up for Fall.
