Doctor Who – The Doctor's DaughterEp 6/13
Saturday 10 May
Time to be confirmed BBC ONE
The Doctor meets the most important woman of his life on the distant planet Messaline, in the middle of an endless war, as Russell T Davies's Bafta Award-winning time-travelling drama continues.

But as General Cobb threatens genocide, and Martha is kidnapped by the Hath, the Doctor faces an even greater battle – can he find peace with his own child?

David Tennant plays the Doctor and Catherine Tate plays his new companion, Donna Noble. Freema Agyeman and Georgia Moffett guest star.

Thanks, will have to record it as will be setting sail!!! So, Freema is still only a guest?:sad2:

Ok

Major spolier on tonights show, highlight if you wish to read.

There is a clone of Martha to trap the Doctor, she isnt the only clone you will see over two parts.

Interesting.

Very interesting, and how long for?

I really enjoyed tonight's episode - a bit like old times.

Well we saw the clone of Martha, and we were left on a cliffhanger, reports I have read say maybe Rose comes out of the green goo?

I enjoyed the pace of this one, was realy fast moving and with a cliffhanger, like good old Doctor Who, you always had those every Saturday night, in a 4 or 6 part story.

18.20- Doctor Who: 6.4m (35.2%) *peak: 6.9m (36.4%) at 18.45

Suffering a bit in the early time slot, and good hot weather in most of the country, people still out and about, enjoying the Sun.

I loved that ep! It's nice to see the Sontarans again. And they look more menacing somehow. Despite the new-series-changing-everything kinda style, the Sontarans look the same, and yet, MORE of a menace. Must be the whole 'taking over the world' kinda bit. We've only had them for a few episodes, even in the CLASSIC series, and well, they hardly did anything. Scout for weaknesses, that's about it before the Doctor got involved. Now they actually are DOING something! With good results.

Nice to see Martha again too. :) Nice to see she hasn't totally lost her marbles. I expect lots of explosions in the next ep. :lmao: Mind you, I thought the Child Genius sounded a lot like Jack. :rotfl2:

Roll on next week!! :)

ooo I haven't posted on here yet...

First episode was good. Love the Adipose, waiting for the toy to come out (someone's selling handmade Adipose's on eBay)

Second episode was awesome. I liked the fact that the characters were in our GCSE Latin text books.

Third episode was also awesome. the ending was a bit creepy. Also noticed something the Ood did at the end. So I tried making a picture of it, but it's a bad edit...

Nice to see ya again. :)

I think that's another reference to real life that'll scare youngins next week. First Statues, Fat People Farting and Bluetooth. Is anything safe?! :rotfl2:

Well at least we know the Daleks Davros and Cyberman are not back,, so we are safe.....(Well until Episodes 11/12/13 And Christmas.)

Just do not go near any big Bee type Wasp type things......:scared1:

I loved this week's episode, but as a fan of the sontarans, I think it was pretty obvious that I would! My DH thought it was the best episode so far in the "new" Doctor Who.

I somehow missed the fact that this was a two parter and was gutted when it finished and I realised I would have to wait until next week to find out the conclusion. However, I can't say I'm disappointed that we get another episode choc full of sontarans!

I love the clever use of ordinary objects as terrifying - it's a good job I didn't see this before we went to LA as I would have been running away from the sat nav!

Great summary, yes I loved this episode, I watched it again on BBC3 last night, the use of everyday items is becoming a feature of the new DW, Mobile phone ear pieces, statues, and now Sat Navs, and we haven't even seen the Bees yet.

Maybe Sontarans do not like them.

Guess who nicks the Tardis tonight, with Donna inside,????

Digital spy say some of these might happen:-

Donna's mother Sylvia wields an axe.

The Sontarans steal the Tardis.

UNIT prepare to launch a nuclear strike.

Donna kills a Sontaran via the probic vent and booms out "back of the neck!"

The Valiant is put to good use by Colonel Mace.

The current whereabouts (and official title) of Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart are revealed.

Donna punches the real Martha in the face - believing her to be the clone.

Boris Johnson, interupts the war, on a bendy bus.

4.7: The Unicorn and the Wasp

In 1926, Agatha Christie disappeared for 10 days. Was it amnesia? A nervous breakdown? Or a Giant Alien Wasp..?

As Russell T Davies's Bafta Award-winning time-travelling drama continues, the Doctor and Donna join forces with the world's most famous crime novelist to encounter a body in the library, poisoned cocktails and a Vespiform seeking revenge.

David Tennant plays the Doctor and Catherine Tate plays his companion Donna Noble, with guest stars Felicity Kendal and Fenella Woolgar.

Great episode again and ending to the two parter. Was a bit worried that Martha was staying behind for a minute there though.

this week was miles better than last week

I agree, we all thoroughly enjoyed tonight's. :thumbsup2

It was a great show, lots of SciFi effects, very believable views, did you catch the quick glimpse of Rose when the Doctor opened up communications with the Sontarans, only there for a second, now over to the riddle of his daughter, (Peter Davisons real daughter).

Any connection with his cut off hand?

The early slot isnt helping DW, Doctor Who got 5.9m (32.5%).

Back to 6.45pm for next two weeks. Hopfully higher ratings, albeit lots of catch up opportunites on BBC3

I missed the shot of Rose - our son has only just mentioned it. She must be wanting him to go to her somewhere.

Yes, the daughter thing is going to be interesting. Shame I'm going to be away! Ok, perhaps not!!!:cool1:

I loved this week's! It was awesome! Lots of laughs, lots of action, lots of sci fi! A True Episode! The only downside was that Donna has proved to be a bad assistant. Doctor gave her hints to use the phone, and she just goes :confused3 . Even Mickey was smarter than her!!! :lmao: Oh well. We got Martha with us now. :teeth: It's a shame that she changed.. I mean, she had to be DRAGGED with us. :lmao: But still. Maybe she'll stay. :)

RTD has said there's been a theme per ep that adds up to the whole thing instead of a clue word. But I don't know what's in this week but there were so many other references. 'Are you my mummy?' (Which I :lmao: to death at), Doctor's Hand, the Valiant, Rose saying 'Doctor' in the Tardis, References to Martha's Family (again), 'End of Days' - the name of the Torchwood Finale in Series 1 ... I'm sure there are more but WOAH.. information overload. I hope RTD reveals what the 'theme' is soon or i'll go nuts!! :lmao:

If you go to the BBC Doctor Who website they have it on there.

Same here!

Well we do have bits of the jigsaw. (I think are you my mummy was a joke only)

  • Rose, (She was trying to warn/talk the Doctor Last night)
  • Where have the Bees all gone.
  • I understand 'Donna' is a link, a series arch.
  • The Doctors hand/ His daughter.
  • 'Family.

I enjoyed this week's episode, though I was a bit disappointed that the sontarans wanted an earth full of sontarans - a bit too reminiscent of the cybermen for me.

I agree with Matt - Donna is a useless assistant! She isn't brave like Rose or intelligent like Martha, not sure what she adds to be honest. Glad Martha is along for the ride for a bit longer.

I was very excited to see Rose appearing briefly in the screen :yay:

I am going to take a lot of convincing about the Doctor having a daughter...but will reserve judgement until I've seen the episode.

Good summary, I think his daughter is to do with his chopped off hand. So torchwood, The Master, or did someone have it before Cptn Jack.
